Overall best university for M.A. in economics course.
Placements: Over 92% of the students are placed. Although the pay offered once I finish my studies is not very good, I would still like to pursue further education and earn a master's degree in economics. Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Brain & Company, and others are the leading hiring firms. Risk analysts and financial planners are among the most sought-after positions available. Approximately 90% of students can find employment.
Infrastructure: The amenities are first-rate. Classrooms, labs, sports facilities, a library, and Wi-Fi are among the amenities offered. A playground existed at this university. The classrooms could easily hold between 100 and 150 pupils. The hostel has first-rate facilities. An excellent meal at a fair price is served in the restaurant. Medical care is available. There is plenty of space in the classrooms.
Faculty: The university program is informative and well-designed. However, the curriculum structure is quite antiquated and reminiscent of educational institutions where we acquire theoretical knowledge without any real-world application. Therefore, I would suggest that it needs to get better in this instance. Both the instructors and their methods are very technological. The pass rate for the moderate semester exams is 56%.

Overall best university for an M.A. in economics course.
Placements: It's all good at Guwahati University. Also, the placement review is good. International corporations come to the university to make placements. Finance offers a minimum pay of 9 LPA and a maximum income of 29 LPA. Students do well on the examinations, and they can easily understand the teaching methodology. A lot of students can secure internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well & good. There are good classrooms, a canteen, and labs. We have a very large farmland where we grow sees. All the fertilizers & pesticides needed in the field are supplied to us through the college. Whenever we feel bored, we move to the canteen & order food, play cricket, badminton & various sports.
Faculty: The instructors here are well-qualified in any stream. Their teaching skills are also good, and they are always helpful in every way. They have done their degrees all over the world and also share their experiences in their college life. Seminars and training are also conducted for students. Semester exams are easy and the pass rate is over 70%.

The best college for M.A. in Economics.
Placements: Our college places 60 to 70% of students. The highest salary package given to the Economics batch is 7 LPA. 4.5 LPA is the average salary package provided. 3 LPA is the lowest pay package. Leading recruitment firms like HSBC, Axis Bank, and HDFC Bank come to our campus to recruit. Roughly 75% of students got internships. Financial Analyst, Research Associate, Policy Consultant, and Economic Advisory are the most important positions.
Infrastructure: Both the facilities and the classrooms at our college are excellent. The Economics department is not equipped with Wi-Fi. Nonetheless, Wi-Fi is available in all of the university dorms. The library is excellent as well. We can locate a wide variety of books here, which is quite helpful. There are always medical amenities available. Students have access to excellent sports and gaming facilities.
Faculty: Our college instructors possess extensive knowledge. They are highly knowledgeable and supportive. Our teachers are always available to help us if we run into any issues. They're friendly. We understand everything, and they teach even if some texts are unavailable. Instructors make every effort to make the material accessible via the Internet or other platforms. The course syllabus is useful. The pass rate is 70%.

Placements: Around 50-60% of students got placed in our college. In the economics batch, the highest salary package offered is 26 LPA. The average salary package offered is 16 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. For placements, prestigious recruiting firms like Infosys, Citibank, and HSBC visit our campus. Approximately 45% of students secure internships in local industries.
Infrastructure: This university has excellent facilities for our course. There is a good library with 20,000 books. Our course has free Wi-Fi, a park, decent classrooms, and separate labs. Although this university offers hostel accommodation for our study, only 15% of students choose to use them. There are good medical facilities, a canteen, a mess, and sports facilities here.
Faculty: Instructors are good. Students won't gripe about educators. Students won't have any issues with the instructors' methods of instruction if they are diligent. I am highly satisfied with GU because of faculty members. Infrastructure is really good.
Placements: I am currently studying here. I am pursuing PG in economics, and our seniors were quite good to us. Every year, almost 60%-70% of students get admission there. The salary offered to students pursuing a PhD is good, and it is about Rs. 30,000 per month. Recently, many companies visit our campus for providing placements, and the placements offers were good.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in our college are good, and the facilities provided are also good. In the economics department, we do not have a Wi-Fi facility. However, every hostel in the university is Wi-Fi enabled. The library is also very good. Here we can find every kind of book, and it is very useful. Medical facilities are always available. There are also great games and sports facilities for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly knowledgeable. They are highly qualified and helpful. If we face any problem, then our teachers are always there to help. They are very friendly. The teaching methods used for the theory subjects and mathematics are good. We understand every bit, and they also teach if something is not available in books. Teachers try every bit to make the thing available through the internet or by other systems. The course curriculum is helpful.
Other: The university quite recently organises events, fest. There is every facility for the students to attend the programme. Along with studies, we are also provided with extracurricular activities.

An average university life.
Placements: Placement facilities are only available for professional or technical courses like MBA, MBE. However, steps have been taken recently to strengthen the placement cell and also to provide career counseling to every student of every department, for which placement officer will visit each department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is average with basic facilities. There is a central library where finding a book is a hard task but many departments have their own library. Classrooms also have the basic infrastructure. Also, there are many canteens, some far away from some departments. Hostel rooms are really nice with adequate furniture and amenities. Wi-Fi is available in hostels but not in every department. Also, the network quality in the campus and surrounding area is very bad. There are two banks, a post office and hospital available, but hospital facilities are not adequate. Not many internet cafes. However, the surrounding of the area is quite serene and peaceful.
Faculty: I being a M.A. student of economics could put light on only this course. The course or to say the syllabus is quite good. If you have strong maths base it would be very easy. But the only thing is that there is no scope for seminars or presentations in this department, which is actually very much needed. The faculty is good.
Other: Various events are held in the university, 3 main are Youth Fest, Varsity week and Film festival. Only government scholarships are available
University life will be well enjoyed if you stay in the university hostel. No opportunity for collective discussion.

Review of Gauhati University.
Placements: The college didn't have a placement cell for the economics department. But, carrying a masters certificate from Gauhati University has a great value and good job prospects. I believe that our department should start providing placement to the students. However, other departments of Gauhati University do provide placements.
Infrastructure: Economics department of Gauhati University has a brand new building with a proper library, washroom, and canteen facilities. The quality of labs and classrooms is very good, and they are well organised and also well-ventilated. We didn't have Wi-Fi facility on the campus. Sports and games were a part of university fest as a whole. Food served in the canteen was hygienic, affordable, and delicious.
Faculty: Professors in our department were helpful and kind enough to explain certain topics even outside classes. Teaching methods followed by them were common. At times, they used powerpoint presentations to teach us. Regular internal tests were conducted to keep the students on their toes. Overall, the course was beneficial to us, but it could have been made a little more dynamic considering the subjects.
Other: Many seminars were organised in the college. We did have educational and extracurricular fests. Campus surroundings are clean and safe, and we have access to the university market.

Good university located in the outskirt of the city.
Placements: There are no placements or internship facility for master in economics students. Tough there is internship and placement opportunity for the Masters of business economics students. Not all students are placed. Only the top rankers get placed in private banks and other insurance companies.
Infrastructure: A huge campus with proper Wi-Fi labs, classrooms, a library, medical facilities, sports and games. There is also adequate hostel facility for all the students. But the canteen facility in my dept was not good. There is no proper drinking water facility, and washrooms are poor.
Faculty: The faculty of my department are highly-qualified and dignified and experienced teachers. All the teachers are PhD holders. The ratio of teacher and student is 1:5. Many research scholars in my department perform research work under the guidance of the teachers.
Other: We have an annual fest in both the departments and also university as a whole.
