The annual income of the parents should not exceed INR 1 LPA. The candidates should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources. The scholarship can be renewed every year.
• Merit cum Means Scholarship: The top scorers in Class 12 are awarded financial aid to pursue their higher studies in HITS. This scholarship is aimed at meritorious students from weaker sections.
• Sports Scholarship: It gives special importance to the students who have excelled in sports over the years under its Sports Quota.
• Dr Elizabeth Verghese Founder Scholarship: This scholarship has been instituted to empower girls with academic potential to pursue higher education and those who are from lower-income families.
• Merit Scholarship: The institute offers a tuition fee waiver for meritorious students.

HITS Chennai has a seat intake of 60 for its MBA in Aviation Management course. Candidate are admitted as per sanctioned seat count and scores in HITSCAT. In order to get admission to BTech at Hindustan University, the minimum eligibility criteria is to pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate in PCM as subjects. Those who belong to the reserved category are required to get 45% aggregate. The university also offers admission to BTech (Lateral Entry). The minimum eligibility criteria for the same is to either get a Diploma with minimum 50% aggregate in the branch of Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or graduate with minimum 50% aggregate in Science and Mathematics as one of the main subject. The candidate should fall in the age group from 19 to 22 years.
