Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) admission is merit-based and is strictly governed by the reservation policy laid down by the government. IIST admission 2025: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) admission 2025 will be done through the national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE, JEST, etc. The basic eligibility criteria for the UG course is Class 12 and PG relevant Bachelor's degree. IIST Fees 2025
IIST fees include multiple components, such as tuition fees, registration fees, alumni fees, and more. Some of the components in the fee are refundable. IIST Seats 2025

IIST Seat Reservation 2025
IIST offers reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD for PG and UG programme. The seats are applicable as per the Government of India Orders. Additionally, if the ST seats are vacant, they will be filled by SC category candidates. Below is a detailed break-up of the seats for the all categories:

IIST Fees Admission Process 2025
IIST admission process 2025 is a step by step process, which candidates must complete to get admitted to their desired course. The admission process commences with the release of the application form and concludes with seat allotment. The IIST admission process can differ from course to course. Step 1: IIST Online Application Process 2025
The application process for IIST is completely online for all the courses. Before applying, aspirants must check the required qualifications for admission to the desired course. Eligible students can visit the IIST official website (http://admission.iist.ac.in)to fill out the application form. Candidates must pay the application fee for each course (the fees vary by category).
Step 2: IIST Selection
IIST prepares an admission rank list for candidates who have successfully registered and paid the application fees. The list is prepared based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam. In the case of the BTech programme, the list is prepared based on JEE (Advanced) Examination subject to satisfying the minimum marks prescribed as per the institution's admission body. For PG course, candidates with a valid GATE score and marks obtained in written tests/interviews are selected for admission. Candidates with their name in the admission rank list are required to fill in their choice of branch in order of preference for the UG and Dual Degree Programmes during the time of registration.
Step 3: IIST Seat allotment and Acceptance round
The institute released the seat allotment/ acceptance rounds on the website. Seat allocations are done based on merit as per the preferences filled in by the candidates. The JEST exam had three parts - A, B and C.
The JEST scores will be calculated as follows-
There were 25 questions in part A, which carry 1 mark for the correct answer and 1/3 mark will be deducted for the negative answer.
There were 15 questions for part B, it will carry 3 marks for the correct answe
