B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering - Batch of 2028

4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good infrastructure and facilities, and a lot more to explore.
Placements: Around 70-80 percent of the batch get placed in PIE, while roughly around 10-12 percent of the students opt for higher studies and prepare for competitive exams. The highest is around something between 50 LPA and 70 LPA, while the average is above 16 LPA, and the lowest is found to be 8 LPA. Almost every FAANG, FMCG, and other government core companies like Hindustan Oil Corporation, NBPDCL, Nestlé, Jaguar, and new startups come to recruit. Around 50 percent of the batch got the internship, and some got into top consulting firms like BCG and McKinsey. Also, some got into Microsoft, Flipkart, and Uber. Roles offered are Summer associate, AI ML engineer, SDE trainee, and Powertrain.
Infrastructure: Classes in LHC have a beautiful infrastructure well-equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and silent proof. In the central library, you can find almost every book you want to read from your curriculum, as well as books that match your interests. The hostel is decent, we have a basketball court, cricket nets, a badminton court, and a TV room for cultural activities. Apart from that, I would say the mess food is average.
Faculty: Professors here are usually highly qualified, but some of them lack teaching skills. They taught in a manner that they are doing revision of their own, you are expected to grasp it in one go, as you have cleared the toughest examination to come here. I can say the curriculum is somewhat relevant, and also changes are made from time to time. Courses like computer-aided design and design of machines were taught to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are usually tough right from the beginning of your second year, as there is a relatively strict grading system. You may find it difficult.
Other: I didn't choose this course, the course chose me because of my rank. Like, there are some mathematical and software-related things we used to study for designing, and I loved it. I think that the course curriculum should be revised according to the current technology we have. We have Rendezvous asian the largest cultural fest, Tryst Technical fest of IIT Delhi, Becon organised by EDC, and a lot more. You have various scholarships here. If you come here and you are good at some sports, then I will recommend that you work hard, try for the inter IIT.

Really good infrastructure and facilities and quite good alumni connections.
Placements: Approximately 90 percent of students are placed in my branch. The highest was about 80 LPA and the minimum was 10-12 LPA, with an average of 20-22 LPA. Many people still want to place in tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and there are also core companies like Jaguar, Tata, and many more automobile companies. About 50-60 percent are managers or team heads.
Infrastructure: We have classrooms that have a digital board and all the basic things. Hostels are also quite good for that price. The mess food is also good, but we get bored due to the repetitive menu. Medical and spirit facilities are also better than any other government college.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, and many have done Ph.D. in their courses. My branch is quite relevant for the industry that it offers, and this makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult as there is relative grading, and students are also quite talented. There are exceptionally talented teachers on my campus, but students think that they are quite smart, so they attend classes a lot. The professors are good for average students.
Other: Actually, according to my rank, I am getting this course that's why I chose it. Between it, it is lesser competitive than CS, MNC, and electrical branches. You have a lot of time for other activities. According to my knowledge, it is still a traditional way of learning. It can be modernized a bit. We have a great alumni connection, both international and national; you can also find alumni by just searching IIT Delhi alumni. The fests are also quite amazing.

Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2030

Poor hostel conditions, but great library and teaching facilities.
Placements: Now even IIT Delhi's placement results are not upto the mark. Even though almost everyone applying gets a job, the packages being offered aren't satisfying. The highest packages go to around 2 crores, while the lowest can go till 10 LPA. Almost all the top companies, including Google and Microsoft, recruit from the college. Quants like Jane Street and Optiver take in applicants of second/third year for internships. They give a huge stipend for a summer internship. All sorts of roles are offered. The placement cell of IIT Delhi is OCS.
Infrastructure: The study infrastructure is magnificent. The lecture halls are huge, there is 24/7 Wi-Fi availability and library facilities. Whereas the quality of hostels is not good. It is really crowded as 3-4 students have to live in one room originally made for 2-3. Moreover, the building is old, so it is hard to fit in.
Faculty: The faculty is really helpful. The only thing is that we have to approach the professor, it is not like the professor would approach. The professors are really knowledgeable as well. You have to be active in class and ask a lot of questions. They encourage asking doubts and love interactive teaching. Some courses aren't that relevant, like drawing and manufacturing, but overall, it's a great experience. The semester exam is not that difficult if one studies daily.
Other: The Computer Science department of IIT Delhi is one of the best engineering degrees in India. Moreover, the college provides a ton of opportunities to grow and learn. Moreover, the annual fest of IIT Delhi is a thriller to watch and participate in. One of the key things that could be improved in the course is decreasing the amount of irrelevant things taught in the course.

M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering and Management - Batch of 2020

If you are passionate about this course, then join this by clearing the GATE.
Placements: In M.Tech, students become eligible for placement from the 3rd semester in the M.Tech programme. Accenture, Flipkart, Deloitte, etc., companies have visited the college for placement, and almost 75% students get placed. The highest package is 25 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. 75-85% students get placed in IIT New Delhi in the M.Tech programme. The companies that provide internships to students are Celebal Technology, Deloitte, TCS, Mu Sigma, etc., and a trainer internship is provided to the deserving candidates. Some companies offer a stipend, while some internships are unpaid.
Infrastructure: The gym facility is available inside the campus for hostelers, the cafeteria is also there, and library facilities are also available. They are open till 6 pm every day. The hostel facility is quite affordable, but the buildings are old and in need of significant repair. The mess serves decent food. Wi-Fi all over the campus with cctv security. Classrooms are world-class, all-digital facilities available. The campus is big.
Faculty: The timing is enough to prepare for the semester examination, and the difficulty level is moderate. If we study, we can pass the exam with good marks. The faculty-to-student ratio is good, and there are individual faculty members for every subject in M.Tech.
Other: I have chosen this course because it will give me a lot of exposure in environmental engineering, and the placement is also good compared to other courses. The teaching method should be improved by adding practical knowledge and skills rather than theoretical knowledge.

Totally satisfied with this college. You have to secure an AIR of 1200 or below to get admission.
Placements: 100% of students get placed in our course. The highest package offered is 3.4 crore per annum, and the lowest package is 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, ISRO, Microsoft, DRDO, and Wipro. 100% of students get placement in the 1st year itself. Top roles offered at our college are Project Manager, Director, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our course/department include fully air-conditioned rooms, 24-hour Wi-Fi with 250 Mbps speed. The library contains all national and international books. Labs are fully equipped with all required items. The mess and canteen food quality and quantity are very good and affordable.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. They provide 24/7 support. This course is curriculum-relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are really hard. They are mostly open-book tests, and still, 30% of students cannot pass. You have to clear your concepts to pass.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2029

The faculty in the Civil Engineering is excellent.
Placements: Around 80-85 percent of Civil Engineering students at IIT Delhi get placed each year, with average packages around 18 LPA-20 LPA, the lowest near 7 LPA-8 LPA, and exceptionally high crossing above 1 crore per annum in rare cases. Top recruiters include consulting, tech, and PSU companies such as BCG, American Express, Microsoft, IOCL, and BPCL. Many students also secure internships in similar firms, with roles in consulting, project engineering, infrastructure management, and design. Overall, the department offers strong opportunities across core and non-core sectors.
Infrastructure: The department has good labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and access to a well-equipped central library. Hostels have decent rooms, regular cleaning, and basic amenities. Mess food is average, but canteens are better. Medical facilities, sports grounds, and gyms are all reliable.
Faculty: Teachers are generally qualified and knowledgeable, though the teaching quality can feel uneven at times. The curriculum is relevant and provides a good technical foundation, but may not fully match industry needs. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and most students pass with consistent effort.
Other: It is the best college for civil engineering in India.
