Both JNU and DU offer a two-year full-time MCA course at the postgraduate level. However, Delhi University's median package offered to the MCA students was a bit higher than JNU. Further, during JNU PG placements 2023, the median package offered was INR 9.5 LPA, whereas, the median package stood at INR 16 LPA for DU MCA students.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the postgraduate level. It is offered by the university through the Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management & Entrepreneurship. JNU was ranked 2nd position in the University category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024. Talking about JNU placements, the median package offered during JNU PG 2-year placements in 2023 stood at INR 9.5 LPA. So, yes JNU is a decent option to pursue an MBA degree.

Candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must have a BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates who have passed BSc/ BCom/ BA with Mathematics at Class 12 or at Graduation level with a minimum aggregate of 55%. JNU Delhi does not accept the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) for admission to the BTech courses. To be eligible for JNU BTech admission, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score. The final selection is based on JoSAA counselling process. The JoSAA counselling is usually held in the month of September. This year, there will be six rounds of seat allotment.  

JNU BTech cutoff 2024 ranged from 22669 and 34649 for the General AT category. Considering this, a student with a rank of 30,000 can easily get admission to JNU. However, you will have to wait till the last rounds, as the cutoffs in the initial rounds might be more competitive than 30,000. Candidates seeking admission to JNU BA (Hons) course must visit the official website of the University to apply for the CUET-UG entrance test. For JNU BA (Hons) courses, it is mandatory to appear for the CUET-UG exam. Based on the score secured in the entrance test, JNU will release a merit list of selected candidates to register for the CUET-UG counselling process.

JNU cutoff 2025 is out for admission to MA, MSc, MTech and MCA based on CUET- PG. For the General AI category, in the first round, the cutoff ranged from 27.33 and 99.33. MA in Hindi was the toughest for this category, followed by MA in Hindi Translation and MA in Sanskrit. Please note that this data only applies to the General AI category quota, and other categories, rounds and specialisations will reflect different cutoffs. A marginal decline of nearly 1% can be seen in the PG 2-year median package offered in 2022 as compared with 2021. Moreover, many top companies recruit JNU graduates every year. With a score of 70 in JNUEE exam, students can easily get admission to any of the UG and PG course available at JNU. The JNU UG cutoff 2024 ranged between 55.33 and 69.78 for the General AI category candidates. Under which, the courses with the highest cutoff and lowest cutoff were BA (Hons) in French and BA(Hons) in Pashto, respectively.

The expected counselling rounds for the JEE Main counselling process could be conducted in 6 rounds going as per last year's counselling process. All candidates with a valid JEE Main score are eligible to participate in JoSSA for admission to various BTech courses. The counselling process includes registration, online filling and locking of choices, seat allotment, where students can choose between freeze, float or slide option, after which verification of documents is required and physical reporting to the allotted institution.
