Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) was established by Act No 14 of 2002 vide Extraordinary Gazette Notification of the Govt of Himachal Pradesh in 2002. The University Grants Commission (UGC) accorded its approval under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. JUIT is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University has been twice accredited by NAAC (2011 and 2017), and the bulk of its programs are NBA-accredited.

Selection for admission to MTech Program is subject to qualifying PG Entrance Test (PGET) conducted by JUIT, Waknaghat. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from PGET Entrance Test. NTA has not announce the JEE Main 2024 form fill up date. However, it is expected that the application forms will be released in December. The tentative JEE Main 2024 application form date session 1 is December first week. JEE Main application form 2024 will be available online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2024. Interested candidates will be able to apply from the official website. JEE Main 2024 registration last date will be last week of December or January first week. As the exam will be conducted in two sessions, NTA will release separate application forms for both the sessions.

Jaypee University of Information & Technology, Solan was established in the year 2002. It offers 7 specializations under the B.Tech program, 4 under M.Tech, and 8 under the Ph.D. program. B.Tech is a full-time undergraduate programme of four years with a total of 510 seats. According to the official website of JUIT Solan, admission to B.Tech programme is through two modes:
- Valid JEE Main scores and merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2 examination).
- For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, 50% of seats are filled through JEE Main and the remaining 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.

For BSc course, the candidate have to meet the last educational qualification as per course requirement. The candidate should complete Class 12th with 60% aggregate. The selection procedure for the programme is merit-based. Apart from this, students who have valid CUET score, are also eligible to apply for the course.
Jaypee University of Information Technology Application Process 2025
Jaypee University of Information Technology accepts online and offline application processes. For taking admission to the courses offered at JUIT Solan, candidates need to visit the official website of respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form online mode. Application forms for admission can be submitted online or offline.
For Online Application-
Step 1: Log on to www.jiit.ac.in and click on the apply online link of the related program or directly log on to www.getadmissions.com/jaypee (authorized agency for online applications).
Step 2: Follow the on-screen prompts to fill up the application form and make the payment through Credit card/Debit card/Net banking/UPI. The application fee is in the range of INR 1,200 to INR 500 as per course requirements.
Step 3: Once the payment has been successfully made, the candidate shall be allotted an Application ID, which must be preserved for future reference. The candidate shall also get an e-mail of confirmation.
Step 4: During the online application, candidates are required to upload a passport-size photograph of self and signatures of self and their parents.
Step 5: The candidate must keep a copy of the application form for future records.
