Good infrastructure for students, with good job opportunities.
Placements: I am pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). My department has an 80–90% placement percentage every year. We can participate in both core and non-core jobs. My department faculty bring core jobs to students through alumni connections. My college also allows us to participate in IT roles.
Infrastructure: We have our own block for ECE. The infrastructure is very good. We have well equipped labs. My college has multiple playgrounds, spacious classrooms, a central library, computer labs, a canteen, and seminar halls. Our college provides bus services to the students and hostel facilities. My college provides hostels for both boys and girls with all facilities.
Faculty: The curriculum is very good. They maintain a good academic system. The curriculum is changed for every batch based on current requirements. We have semester, external, internal, and weekly exams. The exams are strictly monitored by the faculty. We can score well in the exams by studying one day before the exam.
Other: I chose this course because I can participate in both hardware and software job opportunities. My department celebrates every event and fest very well. They encourage students to participate in events and fests. We have our own clubs for the students.

Good placements in 2026 at Vignan's Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: It has a good placement percentage. 80 percent of students get placed every year in reputed companies. I am from 2022 batch. I got placed with a good package. From our batch, Infosys recruits 100+ students from our college for roles like SE, DSE, and SP. MNC companies often visit our campus to hire students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. We have different blocks for different departments. So students do not get involved in any other activities. We have a good learning environment. We have hostels for girls and boys. The hostel facilities are also good. Hostel food is also hygienic. Students from other countries also study in our college. We have all the equipment needed for the students.
Faculty: I am from the Computer Science and Engineering department. Our department faculty are very good. They are helpful and friendly with the students. Our department faculty maintain a strong alumni network. My department faculty offer internships to the students through alumni connections. The college conducts semester and weekly exams. They conduct weekly exams to track the students' academic knowledge.
Other: Our college celebrates two big events. Yuvatrang is a cultural fest, and Vista is a technical fest. They celebrate these two fests very well. Students have full enjoyment. My department has different clubs. They can join any club based on their interests.

I'm satisfied with my stay during 2017-2021.
Placements: During 2021, we got placed well. All 3 sections of GNIT had people who finished without backlogs or with 1 or 2 backlogs. Almost everyone got placed. Students were placed at Cognizant and Wipro. 5 people were placed at Infosys, Mindtree, and Accenture. GNIT was better compared to GNITC Autonomous. Wipro almost took 300 people from the drive.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and the library were average. There was no projector in every class. Labs were 2 out of 5, but they were getting improved. There used to be a good ground, but they built a new building, so the ground became very bad. They even removed the basketball court. We had 3 canteens with good biryani, etc. Hostel canteen food was not good. I think they had North Indian chefs.
Faculty: Faculty-wise, it was very good. They were strict in that they held students responsible for classwork. They made students industry-ready. Those who were willing got good exposure. Exams were conducted regularly. They were strict. Even in mid-term exams, they did not give any chance to be lenient. They were very strict.
Other: Campus life was good, but we were advised not to go too far with friends. Events were not good. Before, they were good, but then they became average. Only freshers got scholarships. There were not many. Mostly, it was about studies.

It is a top college in Visakhapatnam with good placement opportunities.
Placements: In Visakhapatnam, Vignan's Institute of Information Technology is a top college, well known for its placement percentage. Our college's highest package is 50 LPA, with an alumnus placed at Amazon. The average package is 5–6 LPA. The lowest package is 3–4 LPA. Top MNC companies often visit our campus to hire students.
Infrastructure: Our college has good facilities. We have spacious playgrounds for different sports, digital labs, seminar halls, spacious and well-equipped classrooms, workshops, drawing halls, Chemistry and Physics labs, a canteen, etc. Our college has good Wi-Fi. The hostel is also good. Our college provides hostels for girls and boys. The hostel food is good.
Faculty: We have semester exams, weekly tests, internal exams, and external exams. The internal exams are conducted before the semester exams. We can score well in semester exams by reading the textbooks or PDFs given by our faculty. Faculty members are very good in our college. They clarify the doubts of every student at any time. The curriculum is also perfect.
Other: I chose the Cyber Security course because I have a lot of interest in this course. The college is recommended by my cousin because she studied at VIIT. Our college celebrates every event very well. The events are organized with the help of SAC members. We have multiple clubs in our college. Interested students can join any club by meeting the club requirements.

Decent college, but placements and facilities need improvement.
Placements: Honestly, I feel the placement situation at CMRIT could be much better. Companies do come for placements, but the number of good companies and high-paying opportunities is not what I expect. A lot of the companies offer average packages, so getting a really good package is difficult. The college does provide placement opportunities. But students still have to depend a lot on their own preparation. We have to work on coding, DSA, projects, and interview skills separately. This helps us get better opportunities. I also feel that the placement support and guidance could be improved.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at CMRIT is okay overall. But I feel it could definitely be better. Classrooms, labs, and other facilities are usable. But some of them need better maintenance and improvement. The campus is decent. But compared to some other colleges, I feel there is still scope for better facilities and more up-to-date equipment. It's not really bad, but it's also not something I would call excellent. I would rate the infrastructure around 3/5.
Faculty: Faculty and curriculum are okay. Some teachers are really good. They explain the topics clearly, while a few are not that effective. The curriculum covers the important subjects. Sometimes it feels more focused on completing the syllabus than practical learning. The exams are manageable if you keep up with the classes and study before internals and semesters. The question papers are generally based on what is taught. Exam preparation can become stressful. There are assignments, internals, and other college work. I would rate the faculty, curriculum, and exams around 3.5/5.
Other: One thing I would suggest to students joining CMRIT is not to depend completely on the college for everything. Try to learn extra skills on your own, especially if you are from CSE. The college has its good and bad sides. So your experience can depend a lot on how you use the opportunities available. I would say it is an okay college, but there is definitely room for improvement in some areas.

A good college for Mechanical Engineering, with good facilities and teaching.
Placements: In our Mechanical Engineering batch, some students got placed in Jay Engineering Works. The highest package was around 2.8 LPA. The lowest was 1.5 LPA. Jay Engineering Works was one of the main recruiting companies in my college. Students got roles like Production Supervisor and Quality Analyst.
Infrastructure: My college had good classrooms, a library, and labs. The food in the mess was average. The canteen was also average. Basic medical facilities were available. Sports and games facilities were not very good. Hostel rooms were good. The hostel was very near to the college, within walking distance.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful. A few B.Tech-qualified lecturers were there. They supported students. The course curriculum was useful. The pass percentage was good, around 70–80%. Teachers supported the students when needed. Semester exams were good and could be cleared with regular preparation.
Other: I was interested in machines, so I chose Mechanical Engineering. The best thing about the course was lab work and practical knowledge. The college conducted fests very rarely, but those were good.
