JNU MCA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) offers a two-year full-time Master in Computer Application (MCA) programme at the postgraduate level. It is divided into semester patterns. The course is being offered via its School of Computer & Systems Sciences. Admission to the JNU MCA course is through CUET-PG. Candidates shall apply through the CUET-PG official website for the PG course.
The university accepts CUET-PG entrance test scores for admission to the MCA course. This national-level exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Based on CUET scores, a merit list is prepared, and in the case of a tie, the marks obtained in the qualifying graduate degree are given preference. JNU MCA Fees 2025
The total tuition fee for the PG programme is INR 432 for the entire course duration. Apart from this, some other components that can be included in the fee structure are hostel fee charges of INR 1,065 and a one-time fee of INR 50. This one-time fee is inclusive of the admission fee, enrollment fee, and security deposit. It must be noted that the mentioned fee amount is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

Jawaharlal Nehru University accepts CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance test scores for admission to several undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate and PG Diploma courses. JNU MCA Admission 2025: How to Apply?
Candidates who meet the course-specific eligibility criteria can fill out the admission form. The university accepts applications in online mode. Given below is the step-wise application process for JNU MCA:

JNU MCA admission is based on a valid Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) CUET-PG score. CUET PG is an all-India-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to test-takers, the General Test was easy and the Domain Knowledge section was moderate to tough. Although the questions were on the expected lines and within the CUET PG syllabus but according to some students, a few questions were out of the syllabus and tricky. So, the JNU MCA entrance is not very tough but can be tricky.
Yes, to be eligible for JNU Advanced Diploma courses, candidates must have passed Class 12 or any equivalent examinations. Hence, Class 12 pass-outs can pursue this course. Additionally, the qualifying exam should have been passed from a rrecognized board. JNU MCA cutoff for round one of admission has been released. The cutoff score for the third round is 73 for the PG course admission. There is an increase in the cutoff score from 57.66 in 2023 to 73 in 2024 for the third round. This cutoff score is as per the applicant's CUET-PG scores.
