NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, KGMU ranks 8th in Medical, 29th in State Public University and 83rd in the Overall category.
The NEET MDS 2026 application form is likely to be released in Feb 2026 for KGMU admission to MDS and PG Diploma (Dental) courses.

- The NEET PG counselling 2025 round 1 final seat allotment result has been released for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses. Candidates who have been allotted seats must report to their allotted institutes by Dec 1, 2025.
- The NEET UG Counselling 2025 has concluded, with the final seat allotment result of the stray vacancy round for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc (Nursing) courses.
- The UP-NEET UG Counselling 2025 seat allotment result for the stray vacancy round has been released for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.

NEET rank and scores are not required if candidates want to seek admission to the BSc Nursing programme offered at King George's Medical University. The aspirants must appear for the Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP CNET) if they want to get admission to the KGMU BSc Nursing course.
KGMU offers admission to MBBS course for a duration to five and half years (66 months). Admission to MBBS courses is entirely entrance-based. In order to get admission to MBBS course at KGMU, candidates must pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised board. Admission to MBBS at KGMU is done via NEET UG scores. To apply for MBBS course at KGMU, aspirants must go through the application process of NEET UG. The applicants must register, fill out the application form, upload all the scanned images for required documents and make payment of the application fee. The NTA increased the NEET 2023 application fee by INR 100 for all categories and INR 1,000 for selecting exam cities outside India. The category-wise NEET UG registration fee is tabulated below:

For admission to three-year PG course of MD at KGMU, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates who passed MBBS with 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for this course. KGMU MD admissions are done based on the NEET PG entrance exam scores, which is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). Further, the final seat allotment to selected candidates is done through a state level counselling process, i.e., UP NEET PG, which is held by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET). As per the selection criteria, candidates are selected based on both past academic records and scores of entrance exams.

KGMU offers admission to PG courses such as MD and MS, on the basis of NEET PG and UP NEET PG. To get admission in KGMU through NEET PG, the General AI category student must attain the neccessary rank. KGMU NEET PG cutoff 2024 was closed between 143 and 112030.
KGMU offers admisison to PG courses via UP NEET PG to the Home State category candidates. For admission to KGMU to the PG courses via UP NEET PG, the cutoff for the General Home State category was between 1 and 6377.
