DM stands for Doctor of Medicine, which is a super-specialised course in the field of Medical. Candidates can only pursue this course after getting a PG degree in Medical. For admission to a three-year DM course at KGMU, aspirants must get a PG degree in either MD/ MS or any equivalent from a recognised institution recognised by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. Admission to this course is entirely based on NEET SS entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for DM is standard for all NEET SS aspirants. 

The KGMU central library remains open all days of the week. From Monday to Saturday, the timings are from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm and on Sundays, the library is operative from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is completely closed on public holidays such as on Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Holi, Eid-ul-Fitr, Dusshera and Deepawali. 

The library also consists of a reading room, open from 9:00 am for the whole day and closing at 6:00 am the next day.

King George's Medical University (KGMU) offers various scholarships to undergraduate, postgraduate, and various other course students as financial assistance. Some of the scholarships provided by the university are Award to Meritorious Students of the University at the Undergraduate Level, Grant In Aid for Students Presenting Research Paper in a Scientific Event, Financial Aid for Needy Undergraduate Students (In Campus Part-Time Jobs), Students Scholarship and Other Welfare Schemes, Scholarship Scheme under Dean Student Welfare, and others.

The NEET SS application fee is INR 3,500. The fee is same for candidates belonging to each category. This is the application fee for each group. Hence, candidates planning to apply for two groups will have to pay INR 7,000 (3,500 + 3,500). The fee has to be paid in online mode, via credit/debit card or net banking. NBE states, "Applications forms once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of Application fee will not be entertained. Examination fees in respect of candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible due to any reason will be forfeited." As compared to last year, the fee has been reduced. Last year, the fee amount was INR 4,250 for each group.

KGMU offers admission to MBBS course for a duration to five and half years (66 months). Admission to MBBS courses is entirely entrance-based. In order to get admission to MBBS course at KGMU, candidates must pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised board. Form MBBS admissions, KGMU accepts valid scores of NEET UG, which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. Candidates who qualifiy this exam will be allocated seats as per NEET UG Counselling in various rounds.

Admission to MBBS at KGMU is done via NEET UG scores. To apply for MBBS course at KGMU, aspirants must go through the application process of NEET UG.  The applicants must register, fill out the application form, upload all the scanned images for required documents and make payment of the application fee.  The NTA increased the NEET 2023 application fee by INR 100 for all categories and INR 1,000 for selecting exam cities outside India. The category-wise NEET UG registration fee is tabulated below:

"KGMU - King George's Medical University will release 4-5 rounds of NEET cutoffs for admission to medical courses. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

Yes, KGMU offers hostel facilities to its students. Candidates from general category are required to pay INR 48,100 (With Hostel charges) and 43,200 (Without Hostel charges). However, OBC/ SC/ ST category students are required to pay INR 42100 (With Hostel charges) and INR 37200 (Without Hostel charges).

KGMU accepts NEET PG scores for the admission to MD and MS specialisations. Recently, KGMU cutoff 2024 Round 2 seat allotment has been released by the institute. As per the cutoff data, the Round 2 ranged between 295 and, 101494 for the General AI category candidates. Among all the courses, the most desirable course among candidates was MD in Radiodiagnosis.

In order to get admission to DM at KGMU, the minimum eligibility criteria is to get a PG degree of MD/ MS or any equivalent. DM is a super specialisaed course, admission to this course is entirely entrance-based. For admission to this course, candidates have to check the eligibility in the first place and appear for NEET SS entrance exam. This entrance exam is conducted by NBE every year. KGMU UP NEET cutoff 2024 was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks. The cutoff was released for admission to MBBS course, for different categories under Home State quota. For students belonging to the General All India quota, the closing ranks for MBBS was 3484. For OBC Home State category candidates, KGMU MBBS cutoff was 3665. For the SC HS category and ST HS category candidates, the closing ranks were 37757 and 176581, respectively. Finally, for the PWD HS category, the last round closing rank stood at 660143.

KGMU MBBS cutoff 2023 for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) was 1970 for EWS and 110746 for PWD category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in NEET UG, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
