No, candidates do not have the option to change their college under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. If they wish to change, they are required to appear for the necessary entrance test again. However, a few articles on the internet mention that students can change their college after the first year but they are required to clear all the exams of the first year for the same. MAKAUT University accepts both merit and entrance based exam scores. The university conducts CET exam in June for admission to courses such as BSc, MSc, BBA and BCA courses. MAKAUT conducts JEMAT for admission to MBA and MHA courses. It also accepts a few other state/ national-level entrance exams such as WBJEE, PGET,  UGC NET  (including JRF)/ CSIR NET for admission to UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes.
