The college is good, but programs and events are fewer.

Placements: The placement is good. Many companies come for recruitment.

Infrastructure: The hostel is very good, and life is so good. The food is so good. There is non-veg food 6 days a week. Vending machines in our hostel. The behavior of the hostel warden is good. They behave so well. I like the hostel very much. There are many events in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are good. They support us in every curricular activity. Their behavior is so good. They treat us like their children. The semester exams are not that much tougher, so everyone can pass the exam and get good scores in internal marks. The course curriculum is relevant.

Other: College life is very limited. They should improve the events that are conducted on campus. They should make sure all the students are doing extracurricular activities. I would recommend it if you are ready to join a college with less campus life.

The great Mount Zion College.

Placements: Our batch has decent placement statistics, even though there is no big hype. Around 72–75% of students get placed. The highest package is 12 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA. The average hovers around 5.5–6 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, IBM, and a few product-based startups. Internship opportunities are lower, with only about 30–50 students managing to get them, mostly in companies like Cognizant, UST Global, and local Kerala startups. The roles offered are mainly Software Developer, System Engineer, Data Analyst, and QA Engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our CSE department is okay, not world-class but workable. Labs have decent PCs with Wi-Fi, the classrooms have projectors, and the library has enough reference books. Hostel infrastructure is mixed. The rooms are fine, but the mess food is sometimes bland. The canteen is better. Sports grounds and indoor games are available, along with basic medical care on campus. Overall, facilities are usable but not premium. They are still enough for daily student life.

Faculty: Faculty members are mostly qualified and helpful. Some really know industry trends, while a few follow old-style teaching. Curriculum is relevant to IT jobs but needs more practical exposure. Exams are moderate, not too easy and not too tough. The pass percentage stays high at around 86%. With steady preparation, most students clear the exams without major issues.

Reliable option for all aspiring engineers because VJCET provides almost all.

Placements: In Computer Science and Engineering, almost 70 percent of the students got placed in different companies around the country, like TCS, Infosys, Federal Bank, IBM, etc. The average package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Internship offers are pretty much lower. Some of the better offers are from IBM and Infosys.

Infrastructure: The highlight of the VJCET is its campus. The infrastructure is very good, and the availability of Wi-Fi, plenty of laboratories, and a massive library with online facilities are also plus points. About the hostel, there are two separate hostels for boys and girls. There are beautiful hostel facilities with a good mess. Multiple Cafeterias are available at VJCET. VJCET also promotes sports and games at higher and professional levels. Different achievements in inter-college-level football and basketball championships.

Faculty: The negative of VJCET is definitely its faculty members. Most of the faculty members are highly qualified, yet their communication and approach towards students and the students' council is average. The course curriculum is relevant, and the batches onwards of 2025 are autonomous and can be independent among semester exams apart from KTU. VJCET ranks high among top private colleges with a high pass percentage of 70 to 75 percent across recent batches.

Other: Tech fest, arts fest, and ethnic day are superb.

I wouldn't suggest this college for cybersecurity.

Placements: First batch of cybersecurity students passed just right now. There are no expected results in the course so there are not many placements but for other courses like polymer engineering, the college has placements with many companies like MRF, Apollo, etc., at an average package of 8 LPA.

Infrastructure: The quality of the computer labs is poor. Classrooms seem good, not many issues, but for the labs, it doesn't require a minimum specification for the systems. There is only a hostel facility for first-year boys, and for girls, they should choose private hostels about 500m away, which charge Rs 5000.

Faculty: Teachers are good and qualified for Computer Science Engineering but as per our syllabus of KTU it doesn't prioritise much for job-oriented learning. They just focus on theoretical learning methods because there are enough faculty members.

Other: I'm much more interested in networking and knowing deep into computers, and only this course provides me the thrill of enjoying what we are studying. I chose this campus because it is one of two aided non-private colleges under KTU. I wish the syllabus of the course was more up-to-date, as cybersecurity needs much more efficient, practical-oriented, newer technology updated, etc.

Satisfied with college, overall rating 7/10.

Placements: B.Tech in Electronics and Computer comes under the department of ECE. The 2024-28 batch is the first batch of this course, and they will graduate only after 2028. I hope there will be 8/10 placements. This year, 100% of the students got placement in the ECE department.

Infrastructure: The hostel is okay-okay, I rate it 6/10. The library, washrooms, mess canteen, and medical facilities are 9/10. There is a sick room to take rest for students who are sick. The canteen provides breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc., at a reasonable price. Taste is also good. Their egg puff is iconic.

Faculty: Faculty members are really hardworking, dedicated and lovable. They do their duty perfectly. I rate them 10/10. They literally spoon-feed every student as their possibility. They have pressure from the college hierarchy on the studies of students. They connect with parents as much as possible. There will be a parents' meeting conducted once every semester.

Other: They is no other programmes except the arts fest called Saptarag and an autoshow called Torque. These events will be conducted once a year. In the odd semester, there are no events or celebrations.

Placements are good, but campus placements are decreasing in the coming years.

Placements: Out of 100, only 25% to 50% of students get placed. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. When I come to the college, they say TCS and other big companies recruit, but now I see that startups are being recruited instead. Only about 25% of students get placed in a year, while others go for higher studies due to a lack of placements. The top roles in the course are very few, and activities in college life are also limited compared to other colleges.

Infrastructure: Facilities in the college are good. The infrastructure is also good. The hostel food is not good at all. The Wi-Fi provided in the college is not useful on mobile phones, but it works through Ethernet on laptops. The college has a past incident of food poisoning in the hostel mess in 2019, though I am not aware of it at the time of admission.

Faculty: Faculty members are okay, not very good. Only some of them are trained, while others are recent graduates. Teachers are helpful, but some are not very experienced, which creates problems in lectures. Semester exams are moderate, not very easy or very hard, but they have some complications.
