A total of 2455 students have achieved placements in the academic year 2024-25. Earlier, 2,544 students of the batch 2024 registered for placements, of which 1,903 were placed in leading companies. 

In order to get admission to MIT-WPU, Pune BTech course, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50-60% aggregate in the PCM group. Admission to this course is completely entrance-based. Aspirants are required to appear in either JEE Main/ MHT CET/ PERA CET entrance exams. Admission to BTech at MIT-WPU, Pune is purely based on a valid score of candidates in the respective entrance exams and their past academic scores. Further, shortlisted candidates also have to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) of minimum 500 words.

However, those who seek admission to BTech Bioengineering course, must have passed Class 12 in Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and Biotechnology as optional subjects. The candidates for this course are selected based on NEET UG scores.

• The last application date for BTech, PharmD and BPharm courses is April 15, 2026.
• The applications for MBA will close by Jan 27, 2026.
• The last date to apply for PharmD (Lateral Entry) is Apr 30, 2026.
• The application deadline for all other courses is Jan 7, 2026.

MIT-WPU admissions are open for all courses. Candidates can apply online for the preferred programme. The university conducts MIT-WPU CET for admission. The admission process for both the MBA (General) and MBA (Dual-Specialisation) courses is the same. Admission to the MIT-WPU, Pune MBA course is entrance-based. Candidates need to appear in either CAT/XAT/NMAT/MAT/GMAT/MAH CET/PERA CET entrance exam and qualify for any one exam with a valid score. The final selection is based on the performance of candidates in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds, followed by other selection rounds.
