NIT Hamirpur Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

NIT Hamirpur BArch admission is based on a candidate’s performance in JEE Main Paper-II. Further, eligible and JEE Main-qualified aspirants need to qualify for course and college-specific cut off rank released by JoSAA through seven rounds of counselling.

Candidates are offered admission in NIT Hamirpur based on their entrance exam scores. Applicants must have JEE Main and GATE rank for BTech and MTech courses, respectively. Admission in MSc is based on IIT JAM scores. The institute considers CAT/ CMAT/ MAT for MBA and UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ institute written test for PhD admission.

The application fees for JEE Main is written below

• INR 1,000 for Male unreserved, OBC, EWS category candidates
• INR 800 for Female unreserved/OBC/EWS category candidates
• INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category candidates

JEE Main Registration 2024 session 2 last date was March 4. NTA released JEE Main 2024 Application form session 2 on February 2. JEE Main Application form 2024 session 2 was available online on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates who have applied for JEE Main 2024 session 1 had not register again. Such candidates only need to fill the paper details (BE/BTech or BArch/BPlan) and pay application fees. JEE Main 2024 registration last date session 2 was March 4.

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech. 

So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

NIT Hamirpur offers admission in MBA based on entrance exam scores. The institute accepts CAT, CMAT and MAT scores. Selected candidates also need to pass a PI round. Below is the MBA selection parameters:

Aspirants with Class 12 marks can apply for BTech and BArch programmes of NIT Hamirpur. Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Hence, candidates with 65% cannot apply. The minimum aggregate is not mentioned for BArch. Candidates can confirm the requirement from the institute for the same.

CCMT Counselling registration process is conducted in an online mode. Candidates have to register for the counselling process by filling their name and GATE related details such as year of exam, registration ID, exam paper and score to generate the login details. Check below detailed step to apply for CCMT Counselling process:

1. After registration, candidates need to log in to the official website and enter their details such as parent’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, academic qualification, bank account information and others.
2. Candidates will also be required to upload a scanned copy of the GATE scorecard. The format of the scorecard should be GIF/PNG/JPG/JPEG/BMP and the size should be between 50 KB to 200 KB.
3. Before the CCMT registrations, candidates must generate passwords. Submission of the application form will be done after all submitted details are reviewed. After the completion of registration, a unique registration number will be generated.'
4. Candidates have to pay the required registration fee through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (e-challan at any branch of SBI).

Step 6 - Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates have to select their choice of colleges and courses during the allotted time. Change, re-order and deletion of choices could be done within the choice-filling period. Candidates must fill the choice in the order of their preference. Editing of selected choices cannot be done after locking. A printout of the filled choices must be taken for future reference.

NIT Hamirpur is not that costly. It is a public institute that gives affordable education to the students. The fees for NIT Hamirpur courses is between INR 1.4 Lacs and INR 9.61 lakhs. 

NIT Hamirpur JEE Main Round has been released for admission to the BTech courses. Yes, CAT 2025 exam will be conducted in three shifts. The exam was earlier conducted in 2 shifts, but since 2020, the CAT is conducted in three shifts - morning, afternoon and evening. In CAT 2025 too, there will be three slots which will be allotted to applicants in no particular order.

CAT exam slot timings will be -

• First shift: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 
• Second shift: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 
• Third shift: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

JEE Main Round 2 Seat Allotment Result was released on July 6 for the BTech course. The opening and closing rank for BTech course ranges between 9408 and 111603 for the General All India category students. Other than General, for SC category, the opening and closing ranks ranges between 1500 and 7848. The cutoff trend for BTech at NIT Hamirpur - National Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 26779. In 2022, it increased to 32894. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 34335 to 38661 for OBC, 122827 to 109493 for SC, 183442 to 153194 for ST, 30140 to 36164 for EWS, 1226 to 1278 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
