Overall experience at NMIMS Mumbai, B.Sc. Finance.
Placements: Students who have an attractive resume with new-age skills. They have maintained a decent CGPA throughout the duration of their course achieve the highest packages in the range of 14-16 LPA, while the lowest package is 4 LPA with an average of around 7 LPA. Around 60-70% of the students get placed from college placements. Companies in the field of financial services are the top recruiting companies for B.Sc. Finance. Internships are mandatory for all students in the second year.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite nice. It is very well maintained. We have different labs and a library with books of different interests. The college Wi-Fi is pretty decent, but there are jammers installed in the college premises, which makes it hard for people to use their mobile data. The college does not have a hostel of its own. They have partnered with some nearby hostels, but mostly no one prefers to stay there. Everyone has taken space in some nearby PG or apartments.
Faculty: Professors are well qualified, helpful and also available via mail at all times. Professors teaching major subjects such as accountancy, financial markets, and quantitative techniques are well experienced, but teachers teaching other lower credit courses are not so interactive. The course is quite relevant with machine learning and AI in the third year; the course does make the students industry-ready. The professors are like mentors who keep us updated with the current status of the job market and which skills are the most in demand. The semester-end exams are a bit difficult, and the pass percentage is 40%.

Placements: Placement offers are so appreciable. Preplacement offers and placement offers are organized by the institution. With the co-ordination of the recruiting companies they are arranging maximum possible offers for us. The minimum salary package offered by the recruiters would be 3.40 LPA.
Infrastructure: No particular dress code or other things are required for dressing in the college. There are particular time shifts for breaks, lunch breaks, and so on. Administration aimed to showcase the excellence of students globally. Students are also recommended to concentrate on sports activities.
Faculty: Teachers are more efficient in communicating languages and are most responsible for creating a positive environment that would be more efficient for learning. As our discipline students had secured 93% of overall academic results which would be higher than other disciplines.

B.Sc. Applied Psychology - The start to your journey in Psychology.
Placements: During the summer internship period, college provided a plethora of internship opportunities to different organizational firms as well as renowned hospitals such as Thane Mental Hospital, Bai Jerbai Hospital Wadia Hospital for Children, and other private mental health clinics as well. The fields of psychology that students are interested includes counseling psychology, clinical psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, neuropsychology, and psychiatry. As this is a compulsory requirement of the course, all students get internships either via the university or by personally acquiring the internships. This process is extremely helpful in providing practical knowledge in the field.
Infrastructure: The university has access to smart screens, Wi-Fi, and fully air-conditioned classrooms. Additionally, there is access to a library that has a plethora of books on psychology and is also quite peaceful. Moreover, we have a psychology laboratory where many psychometric tools and tests can be conducted.
Faculty: Teachers at B.Sc. Applied Psychology, NMIMS are highly knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful. They use a wide variety of pedagogies to ensure maximum student understanding. Additionally, the assignments given are thought provoking, stimulating, and not monotonous at all. The curriculum is in-depth, being a science course, it develops deep into each field of psychology that it covers such as criminal psychology, neuropsychology, counseling psychology, etc. The examinations are challenging and require students to not only have a theoretical understanding of a myriad of concepts and theories but also have practical knowledge of how to apply the knowledge.
Other: I chose psychology due to my fascination with the human mind. I was able to learn a lot about psychology and build on my passion. The best thing about this course is the practical subjects provided each semester that imbue students with the required inside skills required to succeed in the field. Furthermore, the course also has a psychology committee that helps in the holistic development of the students. We have many annual fests that are fun for the audience for example, Mental Illness Awareness Week and Psych Film Festival.

Reality of NMIMS Navi Mumbai campus.
Placements: Although I am in the first year, I’m not really aware of placements, but I hear that 80-90% of the students get placement offers of around 4 to 10 lakh per annum. Also, many companies like Federal Bank, Sapio Analytics, etc., offer placements here. In the second semester, students are required to work with NGOs on a weekly basis, and also during summers. After the second year, the college provides internships to students.
Infrastructure: All the rooms have AC and smart boards, and they are very clean. The labs are also well-maintained, and the canteen food is healthy and amazing. They have a collaboration with a hospital to help you with medicine and check-ups. The library has a very good system for issuing books. The hostels have air conditioning and good food quality.
Faculty: A large number of knowledgeable faculty members who have textbook understanding and practical experience. They are very cooperative and helpful. They conduct presentations and tests, which help students to be industry-ready. The exams are moderate to difficult, but you only need to get 20 marks out of 50 in both internals and externals.
Other: I am pursuing a B.Sc. Finance course designed to provide an in-depth understanding of financial principles while focusing on real-life applications in the dynamic world of finance. They give us assignments like taking interviews of CEOs, asking them questions, and learning from them, which helps us not only gain knowledge but also make connections at an early age. The environment here is very professional and fun at the same time. There are many clubs and events, including the Rotaract Club, E-Cell, Cultural Committee, Sports Committee, etc. These clubs organize many events like Nirvana, Prabalya, and many more. They also have community services that do social services.

The placements are much better for the main campus due to the established corporate connect.
Infrastructure: College has the majority of requisite infrastructure like Library, Computer Labs, Wi-Fi. That being said, part of the college has been under construction for 1.5 years. The hostel building is just an apartment building whose rooms are used as a hostel, with other families still living in the building.
Faculty: Faculty is composed of well-trained, qualified teachers who teach well, especially the permanent faculty. The curriculum is relevant and covers a spectrum of economics-related content and other relevant subjects like IT and Sociology. Semester exams are quite tough and are designed in a way that only those who practice routinely can pass.
Other: I chose this course because of an interest in economics I developed in 12th grade. The best thing about it is how comprehensive and rigorous it is and how well it trains you for a chaotic corporate environment. I wish they gave more holidays or at least designed a more generous holiday pattern on par with other courses. There are fests year-round here with a lot of food stalls for students. While the surroundings are kind of bleak, there are lots of extracurricular activities in the form of clubs like the Cultural Club, Rotaract Club, etc.

Absolutely the worst college and faculty.
Placements: I would not recommend this college because it has no scope for placement and no provisions for a proper placement cell. We will have to search for internships on our own, and there is no formal training provided for them. There is one internship department that generally does not provide more than two or three internships for a batch of 190 students.
Infrastructure: We had to sit in the old and shabby Mithibai building, which has bad classrooms that stink. The college Wi-Fi does not work most of the time, and other facilities are almost nonexistent except for a huge library that has some resources available from time to time. Overall, the college is very overcrowded.
Faculty: The faculty is absolutely bad and underqualified. They are usually recent Masters graduates who have no teaching experience at all. They are supposed to teach second year graduates. Their clarity of concepts and teaching style are not consistent. In addition, they never complete the portion on time.
