I am partially satisfied. Study-wise, it is fine, but the infrastructure is not up to the mark.
Placements: The placement rate is very low as most of the students opt for further studies. The highest salary package would be around 6 LPA and the lowest would be 3 LPA, while the average would be 4.5 LPA. Many well-known companies like Biocon come here. Top role would be senior assistant scientist.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not well developed but labs are fine. Air-conditioners are available in computer labs and a few exam rooms. Canteen is good. Library has all the latest edition books and research papers. We do not have a hostel though PG facilities are available nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. They teach us very well. The course curriculum is updated. Semester exams are average. The passing percentage is 60%. Teachers give challenging and brainstorming projects. Practical sessions are not as often as they should be in a week.

I joined here with high expectations, but I was disappointed later.
Placements: According to our seniors, very less number of students got placed with a very low salary of Rs. 15,000 per month. All pharmaceutical and research companies are the top recruiters for our course. Roles offered here are a researcher. Our college provided internships only for last year students, and from which around 15-20% of the students get selected.
Infrastructure: There are biotech labs, Wi-Fi facilities and non-air-conditioned classrooms. Our college also has a library, a reading hall and a mini auditorium. There are two elevators since it is a 12-storeyed building, which is small. Labs do not contain all the equipment. I will rate 7 out of 10 for the quality of facilities. The food served in the canteen is bad, and rats also roam in the canteen. Sports like cricket, football, handball, throwball, kabaddi as well as indoor games like chess, carrom, table tennis are provided here.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable except for a few teachers as they just read out their presentations and leave. However, other teachers explain us in-depth with examples and other things. Academics don't make students industry-ready. If students want to be industry-ready, hands-on training is required on the instruments, which is not provided by our college. Here one student does it, while others have to watch them. So our college doesn't make students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because biotechnology is a creative field, and also I always want to find something new. The best thing about this course is you can take any biotic factor and conduct research on it if you know the proper techniques. I wish that our college should conduct much training and proper individual training so that the students have a grip on the equipment properly. Our college organises lots of events like seminars in the mini auditorium as well as fun events like Biozest, which is our sports fest. It also organises Species and annual cultural and technical fest named Technoczar. We do not have a campus as it is a single building with a boundary and a little space for parking, which is a bad thing. Our college also provides a few scholarships for students who will be toppers in their semesters.

Review for DY Patil School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.
Placements: The highest package offered was forty Lacs per annum, and the average package after the college is 4 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies for this course are Transasia Biomedical Ltd., IKS Health, and Himedia Labs. The top roles offered in this course are mostly as interns, as internship is a compulsory part of the 7th and 8th semester syllabus. 100% of the students get internships in the 7th and 8th semesters.
Infrastructure: The campus and facilities are not much and are very average. The library, canteen, reading room, labs, and the general infrastructure of the building are subpar. Sports and games are promoted a lot, and the seniors are very helpful and motivate others to take part in the events. The food in the canteen is very average, with only 2-3 items that are regularly ordered from there, like vada pav, noodles, and cold coffee.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is average and does not teach as per the hours assigned to each of the modules. Hence, the semester 1 final examination had to be postponed, causing a lot of stress among the semester 1 students. The course curriculum is relevant. The syllabus is interesting and useful in the real world. The semester exams are moderately tough and can be passed with a decent amount of studies. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course as I was always interested in Biology but did not want to go into medicine, and this college was close to my residence and hence, convenient for me. The campus can be greatly improved as it is very unimpressive compared to the DY Patil, Nerul campus, and even compared to an average college campus. There are a lot of events and fests, which is a great thing. The seniors are very motivating and supportive. The campus surroundings are good as there are a lot of restaurants to visit and many hangout spots.

It is a decent option for biotechnology engineering in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai.
Placements: There are many companies for placement, but most students opt for a Master's degree, as biotechnology is a field of research. The average salary package placement here is 3 LPA-5 LPA. If expecting more, then don't, but it also depends on the individual. Roles are usually research-based or in data analysis, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are pretty good. Hostel facilities are not available, but many students live in PGs, so you'll always find people to live with, which is fine. Canteen food is okay, students can't expect much from a canteen. I wish the classrooms had air-conditioners, though.
Faculty: Faculty members are mostly good, and curriculum is also quite nice. I like how diverse all the subjects are. However, first year can be a bit annoying, as there are subjects like Physics, Electronics, Maths, etc. Since it’s an engineering degree, that’s understandable. Rest is fine.
Other: Fests and events are held annually, and they are all pretty good. I’m looking forward to attending many of them after January.
