PU-CET (PG) is an entrance exam conducted by Panjab University Chandigarh for admission to its various post-graduate courses. PU-CET (PG) syllabus includes all the important topics of subjects that are relevant for business and general aptitude. For the PU-CET (PG) exam, candidates have to study Verbal Ability, Reasoning, General Knowledge and Data Interpretation. PU-CET (PG) exam preparation: Candidates should devise a strategy in advance. They must have a good idea of PU-CET (PG) exam pattern, the section-wise break-up, topic-wise weightage and the expected difficulty level of the question paper. 

 For a few courses, such as MA, BA, MLib, etc., admissions are completely based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Students must go through the Panjab University CHD-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission at Panjab University.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

The highest package offered to the Engineering batch 2025 was INR 24 LPA. On the other hand, the highest salary offered to the MBA students during Punjab University placements 2025 was also INR 24 LPA.  

UIET is ranked among the best 30 engineering colleges in India. It has a very high placement percentage with an average pay package of INR 8.72 LPA in the year 2023. UIET’s infrastructure is quite good: well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, workshops, a library, computer center, sports complex and a canteen.

The faculty at UIET are said to be one of the finest within the region. Some feel that it is a good college for placements, infrastructure and campus life as well.

The top recruiting companies that took part in campus placement at the Department of Law, Panjab University, are Wipro Technologies, Tata Steel Ltd., UltraTech Cement, ICICI Bank, Zoho Corporation, SoftNice India Pvt. Ltd., Patanjali, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Publicis Sapient, Hexaview Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Reliance, Genpact, Amul, Mother Dairy and TATA, etc.

Over the past three years of drives, an improving trend was observed in the LLB placement percentage. On the contrary, a declining trend was observed in the LLM placement rate. Refer to the below table for the Department of Law Panjab University placement rate trends:
