Panjab university is the best university in the North.
Placements: I'm pursuing Masters in English and cultural studies from Panjab University, Chandigarh. There are 120 seats in this course. I don't think so that there are very good placements after this course from the university. You have to find jobs yourself. Most of the students take the UGC NET and JRF after their Masters. So they don't require a job immediately after their Masters. One can find internships such as content writing, teaching, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Panjab University is good. The classrooms are airy. There is Wi-Fi in the campus. There is a library in each department and A. C joshi library is the main library which is located near the student's center. The hostel are very inexpensive. The canteen is fine.
Faculty: There is a shortage of permanent teachers in the university. So research scholars teach the students. They teach very well. There are choices provided in two subjects: Literary genre and academic writing. Academic writing is a good course and you can opt it if you want to improve your expression of writing.
Other: If you have a flair for English then this is the best course for you. Moreover, the faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable. There are a lot of fests organized in this campus.
