What you must know about Presidency University, Kolkata before stepping in.

Placements: I joined Presidency University in 2018 in the department of Bengali for graduation. The placement cell of the university has been inactive for quite a long time now. I have not seen any company to come to our campus for placement. So the condition of the placement is very poor. So is the condition of getting internship from the course I am pursuing. Students can try themselves to get a part-time or full-time job. But it is very rare to see companies to come and recruit employees from our campus.

Infrastructure: Presidency University provides a very traditional and standard department for B.A. In Bengali. Other departments are also doing very well. Approximately 35 students can participate in a classroom in more or less every department. No commerce courses are available here. Departments are big enough, so are the classrooms. Some of those are even air-conditioned. Every department has their own library and computer classrooms to provide the best facilities to the students. Every student has their own secured Wi-Fi connection. Labs are also of excellent qualities. There are two hostels for male and female students respectively. Boys hostel is beside the campus but Girls hostel is at Salt Lake. Girl’s hostel provides buses for the female students for the travel. Both the hostels are pretty good and happening with adequate food, medical, water supplying and workout facilities. Students have to pay a minimum amount for the hostel.

Faculty: Presidency University has the best of the professors for each department. Most of them are very helpful to their students. Also, they are all very sincere while teaching something. Exams are semester based. Below 5 CGPA, one is considered as failed. The course I am pursuing, has been relevant for years and will be so in future as well. We all know how powerful literature is. It helps to improve communication and creative skills.

Placements: The alumni association you get to see is incredible. The placement is good. You can be placed into various sectors according to your graduating stream. The alumni association helps you fetch a good placement anywhere you wish.

Infrastructure: The Presidency Univerity is the real superstar of the college street area in Kolkata. It has a beautiful campus! It is entirely Wi-Fi with the latest equipment, spacious classrooms, canteen with good food. The infrastructure has sports ground for games and everything that you want from it. It is excellent!

Faculty: Only world-class faculty members are recruited to make you successful in life. The teachers are more than just teachers. You will get the industry exposure as well. Now, it is an independent university. Researchers' research work papers are world-class.

I am satisfied with its fee structure.

Placements: Our placements were good with high packages. Almost 85% of students got placed in this academic year. Each student maintains at least 2 offers before completing their studies. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: All necessary facilities were provided in our college. All types of materials were available in the laboratory. Many facilities were available in classrooms. Wi-Fi was also available. Living spaces were good and hygienic.

Faculty: The teaching quality was good. Our course curriculum was updated, and it also makes students ready for the industry.
