We get excellence in knowledge, cultural aspirations, faculty members, and courses.

Placements: The individual information or percentage of students who are placed in my course is not known to me, as it is confidential. Details could not be found by general students. But our placement cell encourages students by helping them to get internships, which increases their desire to know the world better. The placement cell for my course needs to be developed more, as we have a few seats for our course, and they should have a look at the arts stream placements specifically and enhance their packages also.

Infrastructure: Our university has two libraries (arts and central) where innumerable books, articles, magazines, daily newspapers, and study materials are available to enrich students with a wider spectrum of knowledge. Classrooms for my course carry historical significance, where many eminent Indian personalities did higher studies. The AC room in our department is short in number. It will be better if rooms get modernised with centralized AC and are a bit cleaned regularly. Wi-Fi is not good. Canteen food is well-cooked and delicious. Hostel facilities are available. We have a sports room and a gym for physical enthusiasts.

Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They use PPTs while teaching and give useful study materials to students. They used to cover the syllabus, and moreover, they are very helpful. They are easy to reach for students. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant and beneficial for students who will think about higher studies. Semester exams are not that tough if students follow the classes regularly and follow instructions of the professor. Hardly, some students fail in the semesters here if their attendance does not become a barrier for them to sit in the semester.

Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in this subject, and also the Presidency's legacy brings me to it. I chose this course because it offers me the best things about history, which enrich me. We get a huge help from the professors, and I have been nurtured with an inquisitive approach towards any topic. The most important thing I want to deliberately increase is the time gap between the semesters, as it is too short to get deeply into topics. Fests here are very attractive, which include the fresher's party. A noticeable thing here is that there is no burden between seniors and juniors.

Placements: Placement cell of Presidency University engages the students by placing them in various opportunities. Number of students who get placed is not known in detail to other students, but the university works effectively to ensure a smooth placement process. University helps students get internships, which enhance their real-world experience.

Infrastructure: University has libraries where the students get access to a wide range of books, reference materials, daily newspapers, magazines, and so on. Campus is well-maintained and the classrooms are also equipped to hold a good number of students. University has hostel facilities for the students. Canteen food here is quite affordable. Campus has a gym area and a sports room to foster the physical skills of the students.

Faculty: Professors of this university are highly qualified and employ a unique teaching method. They use PPTs, provide study materials for the topics and the course, and help the students understand the concepts in a better way. Teachers are very helpful here. The course curriculum is according to the NEP and is relevant for the students in the current scenario. The semester exams are not so tough that the students will fail. The question papers are quite standardized but are not difficult.

Other: I chose history honors because I have loved this subject since my school days and the presidency has given me a great opportunity to learn more about this subject. Faculty is so good that it keeps the students engaged with different assignments and internal assessments. Fests here are the most memorable events in the lives of students. Students also become a part of various clubs that are active in college, helping in the holistic development of the students. University has an aesthetic touch and the surroundings are cleaned daily. Students are given various scholarship opportunities.

The review of Presidency University, Kolkata.

Placements: Placement drives are not organised especially for the students of arts allied courses. The placement cell is not active. However, there are placement options available for certain applied science courses. Since there is a great impetus on academics, placements have never been a priority for our college, and it will remain so. The scenario is the same for the internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is splendid with the recent renovations. Sports facilities available here are on par with national universities. Seamless Wi-Fi connectivity options to state-of-the-art research labs are available here. Presidency's libraries are well stocked and have books with rare contents. The vibrant campus and the liberal mindset of the management are the best aspects here.

Faculty: Presidency was counted as Jewel of Calcutta University in the past. Luminaries from all walks of life had their education here since 1814. The course and faculty are one of the best you can find in the state and eastern India. However, the college has its own challenges despite having the reputation of the government institutions. A lot of departments do not have an adequate number of faculty members. A lot of knowledgeable faculty members have left the campus due to politicisation between academicians.

We faced problems with some faculty members but overall it was good.

Placements: Most of the students after completing their graduation in history honours opted for a master degree in the same university or outside Kolkata. Some students shifted to other courses. But placements are quite good at Presidency University. People are well placed now in different cities, and some are pursuing higher studies in different cities.

Infrastructure: Classrooms in the college are nice. Wi-Fi facility is provided on the campus. There are three canteens available here. There were some issues concerning hostels and students had protested. Now the VC has agreed to resolve the problem. Overall, the infrastructure is nice. It has now undergone full change.

Faculty: Faculty members were quite helpful. Course structure was a bit difficult, but we coped up with it. Faculty members used to give us notes which we used to study before exams. The notes actually helped us during exams. We were given notes of various topics. Except for a few faculty members, others were really nice.

Other: There are two main events and fests in the college. There is also college anniversary celebration held here.

The college has good faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements are not a regular phenomenon by the college. Few companies visit the campus for placements. Most of them look for content writers and offer similar job profiles. So, the students are left wanting for more. The college is more academic oriented. Many students join here intend to pursue a PhD in later years.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite old. Wi-Fi facility is available. The library is well-stocked with all kinds of books. The campus has plenty of space for sports activities and to organise events. Classrooms are air-conditioned.

Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified to teach the subjects. Most of them use modern ways of teaching who encourage students to be more interactive in the class. They give real-life examples to give us insight into real-life problems. Many of them have pursued their PhD from well-reputed universities and so are well versed in their field.
