Punjabi University MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2024

Punjabi University provides a two-year MTech programme in various specialisations such as CSE, ECE, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. To be eligible for this programme candidates need to have a graduate degree and meet the eligibility criteria for the GATE exam, they can pursue this programme on a part-time or full-time basis. Punjabi University MTech Admission 2024: How to Apply?

The application process for MTech at Punjabi University follows a series of steps one should follow, stepwise details are presented below:

Our college is good for students.

Placements: More than 60% of students are placed. The salary package offered is 4 LPA. Microsoft, Infosys, etc., offer placements. More than 60% of students get internships.

Infrastructure: Labs and library are very good. They help with projects and games. The hostel quality is good. The food served is very good in quality with no time limit for students. They can prepare and eat in the room.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and give good advice for our future. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Exams are tough, and 33% is the pass percentage.

Other: I chose this course because I want to become an engineer.

Good placements in the year 2017.

Placements: The placement rate of the university is very good. Many well-known companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc came for placements. Even I got placed in Infosys in my 3rd semester of MTech. Almost 60% students who sit for placements are placed in good companies.

Infrastructure: The university is very good from infrastructure point of view. The labs are well equipped and there is a huge library which has lot of useful books on almost every subject and every topic of any field. Hostels are very good, well-maintained and are clean. Classrooms are also up to the mark.

Faculty: The faculty team is very good. They not only teach you but also guide you in various aspects of life. The teaching method is also very efficient and the student to faculty ratio is also good. We get to know about various things which are beyond the scope of our syllabus.

A place where tomorrow's leaders are created.

Placements: The placements have been going fine till now. Companies place most of the students. Average package is around 6 lakhs per annum. The students are hired as full-time engineers. They are assigned shift jobs initially but later they are promoted and salary also multiplies.

Infrastructure: The Punjabi University campus has all the facilities available including Wi-Fi, clean and hygenic food and medical facilities. Students are encouraged to take part in sports and are guided by professional mentors. The local sports of Punjab area like Kabaddi are also taught to students who are interested. The university has lush green gardens whose maintenance is done with great interest. Hostels are clean and spacious. The hostel officials make students feel at home.

Faculty: The university has a well thought about curriculum catering to the needs of the industry. The faculty is good overall. There can be more focus on students who are not able to cope up. The teachers posses good knowledge of their respective subjects and are well experienced. They maintain a healthy relationship with the students.

Other: Punjabi University is one of the best universities in North India. The campus has all sorts of student made clubs for various activities like dance, drama, music which hold their own events. This provides the students with knowledge on how to manage groups and work as leaders.

Other: This college is nice. It has well experienced faculty members. Infrastructure is good in the college. But there is a lack of hostel facility for the students especially for girls. There are lots of extracurricular activities to participate. Green and clean environment. Some departments are not up to date though. But my department has a new building. Since it is a govt. organization, so the employees are not usually nice or helpful or friendly. Only employees and hostel facility are the major shortcoming of this institute.

The whole curriculum is designed to provide flexibility to students to choose among interdisciplinary subjects as per one’s personal interests and choices. Its huge 550 acres of green campus has two lakes and hills and a wide range of forest area surrounding the campus. The campus provides an awesome range of facilities and infrastructure for sports and fitness, on par with the best in the world, for a meagre fee as the institute is government run.
