SASTRA Deemed-to-be University offers a three-year BCA programme in the field of Software and IT. This course is offered via its SRC Campus, located at Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. Admission to BCA is subject to merit in Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. SASTRA University application process was conducted in both online and offline modes. However, starting 2022, the process has shifted completely to online mode. Aspirants seeking admission can visit the official website of the deemed university, apply online and pay the application fee. Review of SASTRA (Deemed to be University).

Placements: About 70% to 95% of students were placed in our course. Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, etc., are the recruiting companies for our course. More than 95% of our seniors got internships from our course. Top roles offered are developers, data scientists, technical support engineers, etc.

Infrastructure: There is a separate hostel facility for international students. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, a common room, a recreation room, a mess, TV, laundry services, security, and Wi-Fi. We have a badminton court, a basketball court, a cricket ground, a football ground, etc. The food is compatible with southern people. Overall, the facilities are good.

Faculty: Teachers are mostly highly educated and helpful to students. The teaching quality is also good. We are having a good experience learning from knowledgeable teachers. The curriculum of the course is very vast. Teachers are also supportive and amazing. Exams are not tough if you are well prepared.

Other: I chose this course because it perfectly fits my career goals. I need to improve more in mathematics and in some coding concepts. There were fewer fests compared to other colleges and the campus crowd is less.

Placements: More than 60% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1.9 LPA, and the average salary package is about 2.45 LPA. CTS, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Capgemini are the top recruiting companies of our college. About 40% of students got internships in several MNCs. Graduate trainee, programme trainee, and software engineer are the top roles offered.

Infrastructure: Our campus is Wi-Fi-enabled. There are 3 computer labs,1 Chemistry lab,1 Physics lab,1 microbiology lab, and 1 mechanical lab, classrooms, and canteen in our college. The biggest library is also available. The hostel is very hygiene and quality food is served. The medical facilities are available for students, parents, and professors. Indoor and outdoor games are available and there is a gym too.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful for me and highly talented teachers are present in this college. They provide industry-related subjects. The semester examination is very good in our college. During the pandemic, SRC is the first university in Tamil Nadu to conduct online exams. Nearly 90% of students get passed.

Other: I chose BCA because the BCA course is a flexible stream for learning unknown things. TEAT festival, several webinars, sports team, and SWAT academy are available on campus.

I am much satisfied due to the placements offered in best companies with best salary packages.

Placements: Our college provides a good placement selection plan. It also invites the top 5 companies, which makes it more necessary to join this university. According to our performance in the exams and our scores, we get better salary packages.

Infrastructure: Overall, the campus infrastructure was good and memorable. But most of the time, I have attended classes online, so I am not much aware of the infrastructure available in the classrooms and hostels. However, I have heard from my friends that the hostel was good and can be able to afford it.

Faculty: Lecturers here are very good and very interactive. They help us when we need them, and they are very experienced. They can be able to explain the concepts in different modules in which students are able to understand the whole content of what they are teaching.

Other: I have chosen this course to work as an IT employee.

I am really satisfied with this college. There is nothing to say positive.

Placements: I am from 2022 batch and I will pass out in 2025. I am currently studying BCA in my college. The percentage of students placed in my course is 60-70%. The highest package is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary is 2.50 LPA. Recruiting companies are Zoho, Infosys, Deloitte, BN, CUB, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is too poor. They can provide Wi-Fi only for studying purposes and they block many websites for opening. It provides a lab with AC and with fully secured library for students with system and Wi-Fi facility. There is no hostel in my college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. When you are coming to studying purposes rather they can't support a single thing. If you understand the internal mark strategies you can easily clear semester exam papers 3 CIA. They take best of 2 CIA each carrying 50 marks and they convert to 20 by multiple 4 (20+20+10 internal) semester exams for 100x2=50+ your CIA internal marks.

There is no enjoyable event in this college and I will not recommend to anyone.

Placements: I am studying in BCA department. According to my course there 70% - 80% of people choose my degree. The highest package offering for my degree is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary is 2 LPA. Top recruiters of our campus are Zoho, Infosys, City Union Bank, TCS, etc. Manager, trainer, and team leader are roles offered by the company.

Infrastructure: There is no college hostel provided by our college. If you want a hostel there are lots of private hostel accommodations and lots of students are staying in that hostel. The hostel is also nearby our college. There are lots of students coming from other states and studying in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. I give 4 out of 5 for their teaching skills. Curriculum is slightly relevant. If get good marks in CIA exams then semester exams are so easy otherwise it is difficult. There are almost 3 CIA and they will consider best of your 2 CIA, 3 CIA also conducted for 50 mark. They will convert to 20 by multiple with 0.4 and that is your internal mark, 2 CIA 20+20. Assignment and project (10) total of 50 marks is internal and you will write the semester for 100 marks then it is converted to 50.

Learning Experience: Most of the stuff they teach is useful, and the topics are well organized. Some subjects are super interesting, while others feel old and a bit boring. But overall, you will learn a lot.

Placements: Top companies visit, and decent packages are offered. Success depends on skills and interview performance.

Faculty: Some teachers are great, explain well, and help students. Others just rush through slides and don?t bother much.

Course Support: There are forums and sessions, but responses can be slow for some subjects.
