How can I apply for SASTRA University admission?

Earlier, SASTRA University application process was conducted in both online and offline modes. However, 2022 onwards, the process has shifted completely to online mode. Can I get CSE in SASTRA with 953 in IPE and 88 percentile in JEE Mains?

For admission to BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at SASTRA Deemed-to-be University, it is a mandatory requirement to have an IPE score to check in at sastra. As per the research that I've done, with your score, it could be a little difficult to get CSE. If you are college specific you can try for other branches. Minimum criteria for Stream 1: IPE + JEE - 975 above IPE and 35,000 below JEE rank Stream 2: 985 above IPE score. This deemed university offers a three-year MCA to the students. Candidates willing to pursue MCA also have a provision of taking direct admission to the second year, i.e. MCA (Lateral Entry). Our college has a good infrastructure and good placements.

Placements: About 50% of the students from our course got placed. The salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA to 7 LPA. TCS, CTS, HCL, Deloitte, Wipro, Amazon, Capgemini, App View, Infosys, etc., visit our college for placements. About 50% of the students got internships. Software analyst position, software engineer position, testing, etc., are offered to students in various companies. There are good placements in our college.

Infrastructure: All the facilities are very good and excellent here. Our college provides canteen, medical facility, all varieties of South Indian and North Indian food items with very much taste. The infrastructure is well here, and students have a lot of enjoyment here.

Faculty: There are good faculty members, and they are very helpful to students. Their teaching quality was very well, and they are knowledgeable. Students are well trained, and good placement training is provided here. A lot of good opportunities are provided by our college. The course curriculum was very well.

Other: I want to get placed in well IT industry, so I have chosen it.

The college provides very good infrastructure and quality education.

Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered would be 8 LPA. The top recruiting company of our college is Deloitte. Almost 60% of the students got internships in Infosys, Amazon and TCS. Top roles offered to the students are software engineer and developer. In our course, the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered in our college is 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi connection is available inside the campus, and a library is available for each department. Classrooms have projectors. Quality of food is good, and the taste is also good. Medical facilities are also available with a hospital, and there is a medical shop inside the campus. Sports and games are available for the pro players.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful during studies, and teaching quality of teachers is also very good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Way of teaching is very good because it is full of technology-based, which is very good and makes studies easy to learn.

Good infrastructure and facilities but lacks in placement.

Placements: 25% of students got placed with the highest salary of 8lakh per annum, average of 3.75 Lacs per annum and the lowest salary of 2lakh per annum. Main top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, CTS. 6 students got internship in infosys and 1 got internship in CTS.

Infrastructure: The department contains 3 computer labs with Wi-Fi facilites all around the campus. Library has 1000+ books. The quality of food is average. Sports meet, cultural, tech fest are conducted annually which is called as daksh, kurusastra. The campus contains well furnished hostel inside campus. But the hostel facilities are provided only for the students who come from other states. Students from Tamil Nadu are given least priority for providing hostel rooms.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly and supportive. Some of the professor have completed Ph.D. The quality of teaching is good but it is less when compared to the quality of teaching for engineers. The focuses on the basic programming skills and languages. It helps to understand the basics when we enter industry.

Other: I wish the course should have more exposure to industrial concepts.

Mess of stuff in a place.

Placements: In my batch, the placements have not started yet for seniors. There are a good number of students are placed. Around 70% of them are placed. Salary is around 10000 to 40000. The company that had visited Zoho, TCS, etc. There is no internship offered for MCA candidates. Placement cell is available in sastra and it is very useful.

Infrastructure: All facilities are available in sastra. Labs and classroom are neat and there will be a good environment around us. The quality of food is good and also they can make it better. Hostel rooms are comfortable and affordable by all students. The department has to be improved.

Faculty: The teachers are very much helpful and have good knowledge. They are providing max knowledge to the students. Through PPT the classes are taken. Industry exposure is not here. They are providing a better course curriculum and it is very helpful for us to gain more knowledge.

Other: Many events are conducted inside and outside of the campus. Inside the department also the management is conducting events. In Deksh and kuruk sastra many events are conducted for all students.

My review about this college.

Placements: One of the best colleges in providing placements. The opportunities for placements always knock on your door during the final year 100%. Placements were done here for the students who cleared the minimum criteria required to sit on the campus placements. Amazon, Microsoft, Lister, Wipro, HCL, etc., were the top recruiters. Average package was Rs 3 LPA for freshers, and it increases according to experience. The highest package was 20 LPA. According to grade points, placement could be held. More grade points got first priority. Students were allowed to sit for interviews.

Infrastructure: The course was structured in a way that you first understand the basics and then move to advanced. All courses had the same pattern college most experienced staff and more practical was done so it's best institution. Students were provided with a choice of 5 hostels to choose from with rooms in single, 2 in 1 room selection is first come first served. Hostel rent charges were minimal, and so were the mess charges. Food was strictly vegetarian, and the student had to step out of the university for non-vegetarian food.

Faculty: Faculty members were pretty good and experienced. Most of the faculty members will have the minimum degree of masters and other few will have Ph.D. under there belt and had published papers in reputed journals. Some faculty members who were doing Ph.D. in our college will take some guest lectures in our class and share the experience. 3 internals in one semester, and best 2 were taken into account as your final internal. The internal constitutes 50% of your marks and rest 50% is the final semester marks internal was for 20 marks and external 70.
