SIMTS Admission 2025: Eligibility, Fees & Selection Criteria

The application process for Saveetha University differs depending on the programmes. For a few courses, candidates have to apply on the official website of Saveetha University (saveetha.com) while for other courses, application forms can be filled on the respective entrance exams's websites. Below is the application process for various programmes of SIMATS Chennai:

1. Engineering

Admissions to BTech programmes at SEC is based on TNEA. The application process for TNEA is mentioned below.

TNEA Application Process:

• Aspirants first are required to register on the official website of TNEA to fill out the application form.
• After successfully registering on the TNEA website, applicants need to fill out the application form with details such as name, address, state, nativity, etc.
• After filling in all the details in the application form, candidates need to pay the application fee which is 500 INR for General Category and 250 INR for SC/ST/SCA Category.
• After filling out the form and paying its fees, the students can take a printout of the same.
• The application form once filled needs to be submitted offline. The candidates can send their application form along with the required documents to “Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025”.

2. Admission for ME/ MTech is offered via TANCET, CET, or GATE exam

For TANCET:

The application form for TANCET exam can be obtained from its official website. Candidates have to get registered and then fill out the form using their login id and password obtained during the registration. They have to pay 500 INR (250 INR for SC /SCA /ST candidates) as their entrance fee.

5. Medical

The application process for Saveetha Medical College, Chennai (SMC, Chennai) is offline. The application form can also be downloaded from the official website of the college. However, candidates seeking admission in MBBS and MS/MD must register themselves in the relevant Entrance Exams through their respective official websites.

Application Fee

Candidates can obtain the application form for BSc and MSc by visiting the college or through post by a DD of the required application fee in favor of ‘Saveetha Medical College’, payable at Chennai. Application forms for PhD and DSc can be obtained through a DD in favor of ‘Saveetha University’, payable at Chennai.

Filling up of the Application Form:

• The application form must be filled only in Block Letters in the candidate’s own handwriting using a Blue/Black Ball Point Pen
• Affix a recently taken passport-size photograph in the space provided by the application form
• Application forms must be filled up in all respects. Incompletely filled application forms will be summarily rejected
• Completed Application form should reach ‘Office of Admission’, Saveetha Medical College, Saveetha Nagar, Thandalam, Chennai (602105) on or before 29/05/2019
• Entrance examination will be conducted by the controller of Examination, SIMATS
• Post the entrance examination results, candidates will be called for Interview rounds and on getting selected in the same, candidates will be called for counselling

Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) offers BSc Allied Health Sciences in various specialisations and MBBS at the undergraduate level. The total intake for MBBS is 150. Selection for MBBS is done on the basis of NEET-UG scores. The merit list is prepared for all the categories based on candidates’ scores in NEET UG. Candidates who clear the cut-off score set by the college will be called for the admission process. For BSc, the selection is done on the basis of the merit of the entrance examination conducted by the University of Delhi.

SIMATS, Chennai UG Admission 2025: BOT, BPT, DPharm, BPharm

SIMATS, Chennai also offers undergraduate courses like BOT (Bachelor of Occupation Therapy), BPT (Bachelor in Physiotherapy), DPharm (Diploma in Pharmacy), and BPharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy). BPT and BOT are of four years with six months of Compulsory Rotatory Internship, while BPharm and Dpharm are of 4 and 2 years respectively.

SIMATS, Chennai UG Admission 2025: BDS, BDT, Diploma

Saveetha offers BDS and BSc in Dental Technology at the undergraduate level. The course duration of BDS is five years, however, BSc Dental Technology is offered for three years of course duration. The institute also offers Diplomas in three specialisations including Dental Technology, Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistant with two, two, and one year respectively.

SIMATS, Chennai PhD Admission 2025

The institute offers PhD at the doctorate level in 3 different categories:
