The thesis fee will be INR 15,000, which is to be paid at the time of submission of PhD synopsis)

SNU Chennai offers a three-year PhD course in various specialisations of Engineering/ Technology, Commerce, Management, Science and Humanities. The course is available in the following modes:

• Direct PhD in Engineering

SNU Chennai PhD admissions are entrance-based. The university conducts an in-house entrance exam for the selection of right candidates to its PhD course. There is no other entrance exam acceptable for the admission. Candidates have to apply and qualify for the exam with a valid score. Candidates who will secure a good rank in the respective exam will be called for PI round.

To get admission to a full-time BTech course at SNU Chennai, candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Applicant must have the Class 12 marksheet and pass certificate at the time of applying for the course. It is an important component of the selection process. Candidates who will not be able to meet the qualification requirements will not be able to participate in the selection rounds.
