After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers BTech across five specialisations. During SMVDU cutoff 2023, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 94017, for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 227213, for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering was 402493, for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering was 657668 and for B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering was 505053 for the General category All India seat. Hence, candidate with a rank of 1,35,000 in JEE Main can get a seat at SMVDU in all the specialisations except for BTech CSE as per the last year cutoff.

First of all, candidates don't have option to avail any course via there home state quota. The SMVDU cutoff 2025 has been released for the candidates belonging to All India quota. During the SMDVU JEE Main cutoff 2025, the required rank to get into the BTech courses at institute should range between 64782 and 91814 for the General AI quota, so, candidaes applying with General AI quota can surely get admission at 30000 rank.

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BSc Hons programme offered at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are required to appear for an entrance examination. The University and its affiliated colleges accepts the scores of CUET UG. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for SMVDU BSc Hons course admission.

SMVDU admission process are both entrance and merit-based followed by counselling. SMVDU accepts the admission on the basis of CUET exam for most of the UG & PG courses.  For few courses such as BTech, MBA, M.Tech admission are based on JEE/CAT/MAT/GATE/CCMT.
