B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing - Batch of 2028
3.8
Overall, college life is better.
Placements: Mathematics and computing were first opened in 2024. First time, first batch is from 24-28, so there is no placement history. Looking at the current record of this batch, it is assumed that most of the students will get placed. There are other activities held by the department, like trips and industrial visits for students. The head of the department is very helpful. If you talk to teachers, they are also available all the time.
Infrastructure: Facilities are mostly good wifi are available in academic block and hostel also classroom are mostly average in my department condition of classroom is good and lab facilities are best from my side best thing is there a library with over ten thousand books digital library also available there seperate study section and a different library for my dipartment also available medical facilities are good and in sports there a good everything available for playing games
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is mostly average. This course is relevant. The course is not as difficult as ECE or EE. It is very easy if you are interested in it. Semester exams are not that difficult. If you are studying, then it is not that hard for you. The difficulty level is different for everyone. The pass percentage is the same as that of other colleges.
Other: I chose this course because I am more interested in math. It is better than CSE or other courses. Events happen twice a year. Scholarships are available for the top six students in class, and there are different types of scholarships. There are also many extracurricular activities.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.6
Don't opt for this college if you want a good, fun college life.
Placements: Last year, around 45 students were in the final year of my course, out of which 28 got placed. The highest on campus package was 12 LPA offered by JSW, while the lowest was from a local Jammu-based startup, which gave around 4 LPA offer. Top recruiters at our college were L&T, JSW, Bosch, and the Tata group. Roles offered were of GET in various companies.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are above average, like first 2 years students get double sharing rooms, and they are spacious also, while in the last 2 years we get single rooms. Hostels are fully connected with LAN ports, but the mess food is a bit down side, which is ok what more can you expect? Classrooms are spacious and labs in our department are fully equipped, and we also have a central workshop where we have a manufacturing lab and thermal labs. In our college, we have one medical aid centre and a sports ground also. Overall, sports and medical facilities are decent.
Faculty: Mostly, teachers are passed out from IITs and are Ph.D. holders with in-depth knowledge in their respective fields. Some teachers are helpful, while some are a bit arrogant. I don't know why, but they are. The course curriculum is average because most of the important subjects have been removed in the new education policy. Semester exams so a bit tricky, which means you have to study well.
Other: Senior junior relation is very poor at this college. This college doesn't provide you with any social life, no fests, nothing. If you are looking to prepare for government exams or further studies, dude, this college is for you will have plenty of time here.

In 2023, it performed well in placements and rankings.
Placements: Placements are decent with around 50-70 percent of students getting placed. The highest package is 7 LPA-8 LPA and the average range is between 3.5 LPA-4.5 LPA. Hiring companies are TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and similar companies. Internship opportunities are also continuously improving.
Infrastructure: Excellent classrooms, good labs, and a library also provide Wi-Fi. Hostels are way too good, with average food, and medical facilities are also available with free check-ups. Then their is guest house facilities also, where rooms are literally good for only 650 cost.
Faculty: All teachers and professors are qualified and supportive. The curriculum is fairly relevant, but there is a little more requirement for practical and industry-oriented exposure for students. Then semester exams are moderately easy depending on subjects, and the pass percentage is almost high, around 75-85%.
Other: Overall, the infrastructure of the college, hostels, sports ground, and library is good and continuously improving.

    SMVDU: Where learning meets nature.
Placements: Here at SMVDU, most students got placed. In the case branch, the average package is 5 to 6 LPA, and the highest this year is 32.5 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are Wipro Accenture, Zscaler Vi, L&T, TCS, etc. Students have to do internships in the 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters; it is compulsory.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good on the campus, which is 474 acres. The campus has Wi-Fi in all areas, classes, labs, and a central library. The food is also better in SMVDU. There are two girls' and five boys' hostels. It has its central gym for boys and girls. You are provided full medical assistance in the hospital. All the bills are paid by the university. It has all the sports facilities.
Faculty: All the teachers are well experienced and qualified in their domain and subject. Professors also use PPTs for a better understanding of concepts and provide lab assistance. The industry-based course is followed to help students. Semester exams are of good level and relative marking in the result is followed.

Review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
Placements: The condition of placements is not so good and it is average. About 50-60% of students get placed. The highest package is 12 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are BHEL, Range, Tata, Hyundai, etc. Most of the students get internships related to their courses in companies like Tata, AICTE, different kinds of industries, etc. Top roles offered are analog engineer, antenna design engineer, embedded system engineer, VLSI engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities and infrastructure are satisfactory but not that good. The college provides a Wi-Fi facility but sometimes it is down. There is no power backup. If the electricity connection gets down then students have to live without light, fan, Wi-Fi, etc. The hostels do not have power backup. Classrooms are good. The library is also good. There are a good amount of books. The food quality in the hostel mess is very poor. If students cannot compromise with food quality, then this college is not for them. The canteen is also not up to the mark. Medical and sports facilities are fair.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Some teachers are really good at teaching but some teachers are just average at teaching. Teachers are well-qualified but the teaching methods of some teachers are really good and for some it's average. The course curriculum is relevant and it focuses on the industry demand. Semester exams are difficult, and we have to study well in order to get good marks.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in electronics. A lot of improvement is required in this college like teaching methods of faculty members, lab interactions, food quality in the hostel, hygiene in the food, and cleanliness in the hostel and bathroom. More funds should be provided for events and fests. Wi-Fi speed must be improved and fees must be reduced. Extracurricular activities must be improved and many other improvements are required.

    College surrounded by trikuta hills.
Placements: TCS, Wipro, L&T, and other companies visited my college every year. The highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest package was 4 LPA. If someone wanted to do internships our college also provided internships to students. Students need to maintain CGPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good. College provided high-speed internet connectivity and smart classes. There was a big library. Classrooms were well organized and equipped with CCTV cameras. Hostel infrastructure was good. But hostel food was not that good. There was a huge sports ground also.
Faculty: Highly qualified teachers were there. Good projects to train our future. Difficulty of the exam was moderate. It covered everything tough in class. 36 marks out of 100 were passing marks. The students were made ready to face all the difficulties, they will face during their jobs through courses.
Other: I chose the college because of its good infrastructure and good ranking.

Good campus life and excellent campus area.
Placements: 40% of students got placed in my course. 1 LPA is the lowest package, 3 LPA is the average package and 17 LPA is the highest package. L&T Construction, Ambuja Cement, and Pidilite are the top recruiters. Almost 30% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: There are high-tech labs and good Wi-Fi connectivity. Projectors are available in classrooms. Library has huge variety of books. Two sharing rooms are available in hostel. 4 badminton courts are available in my hostel. A large mess is available with good quality food. A medical dispensary is available on the campus with ambulance.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and with better experience. Course curriculum is relevant and it surely makes students industry-ready. Semester examinations are not much difficult and easy to pass and the pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest and there is nothing to improve about my course. There is an annual fest celebrated with full enthusiasm.

In summary, I can say that our college is not as good as IITs but still a good choice for students.
Placements: Placements are good for our branch compared to other branches in our college. About 60% to 70% of students got placed last year. The highest package was around 18 LPA and the average package was around 7 LPA-8 LPA. There are several companies in which the students got placed such as Larsen & Toubro, Airtel, Jio, Nvidea, etc. There are also various internship programs for college students in various companies.
Infrastructure: There are good facilities and infrastructure in our labs and classrooms, all the appliances are as good as new. Books availability is also good enough in library. Hostel is good but bathroom conditions are so bad. Rooms are clean and we get one single bed with one table and chair along with an almirah.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent because they are helpful as well as supportive. Teachers are well-qualified as well as knowledgeable and deliver good quality teaching. Course curriculum is relevant and knowledgeable. Semester exams are not much difficult but not that easy. The difficulty level of exams is moderate. We need to score 36% to pass a subject.
Other: I chose B.Tech in electronics and communication engineering because in this college the highest placing branch is ECE. My interest in this branch is very good.
