Thapar University MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
Thapar University ME/ MTech courses are given in two modes, regular mode and flexible. The university has both ME and MTech course. Also, the regular mode classes is for two-years, and for flexible mode the course lasts for five to six semesters.
Competency for admissions: The basic eligibility criteria to get admission into MTech at Thapar University are that students should complete their BE/ BTech/ BSc/ MSc degree in a relevant field with a min. of 60% (55% for SC/ST/Industry sponsored).
Note: If MSc is the qualifying exam, vacant seats (if any) will be filled based on merit, with 50% weightage to BSc marks and 50% to MSc marks (up to the pre-final year)
