University of Mumbai-- think before you take admission.
Placements: The placement scenario in the university is below average, especially in the department of communication and journalism. There is hardly any placement drive. The students have to apply off-campus. Even though some of the professors help students find a suitable job, still, majority lacks the link.
Infrastructure: The entire university is well planned and the infrastructure is up to the mark. But due to lack of enough attention, the old department-buildings are not being maintained properly. Few of the departments are not well constructed. There is a less number of classrooms in spite of the available space.
Faculty: The faculty is neither too good nor too bad. Some of the teachers are helpful and intellectual. The lectures are flexible and the course although not thoroughly taught, the teachers are able to give the glimpse of the subject. The syllabus needs much upgradation with challenging trends.
