Great campus, supportive faculty, green environment & excellent placements.

Placements: 70% of students got placed in our course. 7.9. LPA is the highest package. TCI, ICICI, Nissin Logistics, and many more recruiting companies are recruiting for our course. 60% of students got internships from our course. Very vast and top roles were offered in our courses.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities and infrastructure are available for our classrooms and hostel. Air-conditioned classrooms and an E-library are available. Air-conditioned computer labs are available. The quantity of food is enough, and the quality is also good. Food availability is also very good. The canteen is clean and good.

Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and helps make the students industry and corporate ready. The semester was good, and the conducting was also good. The pass percentage is 60%. The college provides many very helpful club facilities. There are marketing clubs, HR clubs, finance clubs, and communication clubs.

Other: The following has a good ambience, which is why I chose this course. Practicals were the best things about our course. Improvement is dynamic. Events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, and extracurricular activities were there.

Decent campus life, decent academics, and career opportunities.

Placements: Decent placement record with good career opportunities for students. The highest package offered is 7.9 LPA, and the lowest is 1.1 LPA. Most top recruiters in previous years were from the marketing and sales sectors. With growing opportunities for finance majors, colleges offer dual specialisation in finance, marketing, operations, and analytics.

Infrastructure: The college has smart boards for interactive teaching and an e-library that is quite useful for students. Wi-Fi facilities are available on campus for academic purposes, though direct student access is limited. Mostly, the facilities were limited to an objective only.

Faculty: The faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with decent teaching quality and good use of smart boards and Google Classroom. The curriculum is relevant, easy to follow, and helps students with industry-related knowledge. Semester exams are moderately difficult due to 15 subjects, and the pass percentage is generally good for students who study regularly.

Other: The college organizes various cultural events, seminars, and extracurricular activities throughout the year, which sometimes help someone with basic output and interaction with others.

Good for MBA courses.

Placements: Currently, we are in the 2nd semester, but our seniors got placed in valuable companies like Housiey, ICICI Bank, TCS, and Berger. In our college, there is a placement cell. Last year, the highest CTC is 7.90 LPA, and the total number of students placed was 136.

Infrastructure: All types of facilities are available here, like the library, labs, and classrooms. The hostel facility is also good, with room cleaning, clean bathrooms, lifts, and a canteen. The food quality is good. We have various types of clubs and cells, like the ED cell.

Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, and the teaching quality is the best. We interact with many industry experts for more clarification. Exams are conducted in a very smooth way with moderate levels that every student should be able to answer easily. No ragging is done.

Utkal University MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025

MBA at Utkal University is offered as a two-year full-time programme. The PG-level course is available in Financial Management and Agribusiness specialisations. These courses are offered under the Department of Commerce and the Department of Business Administration. Candidates seeking admission need to take the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) conducted by Utkal University. However, aspirants can also apply with a valid score in CAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ICAR-AIEEA PG/ TISSNET for Utkal University MBA admission. The University offers a general MBA in Rural Management specialisation. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in any of the entrance exams and their performance in GDPI. MBA is offered in two different specialisations with a course duration of two years. Candidates will be selected based on the marks secured in the entrance exam conducted by the University.

This college provides good faculty members and good placement offers.

Placements: 80% of students were placed in our course. The highest package is 8.2 LPA, and the lowest package is 4.3 LPA. Berger, ICICI Bank, Ceasefire, and ITC. 85 percent of students got internships in our course. Financial Manager and Sales Manager are the types of roles offered.

Infrastructure: There are very good faculty members and infrastructure in our department. The facilities in our hostel are good. The food in our canteen is good in taste, with good quality. Clean hostel and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity are available across the campus, helping students access online study materials and research resources easily.

Faculty: There are very helpful teachers. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is 85 percent. Students who attend classes regularly, complete assignments, and study sincerely can perform well in exams. Assessment and class activities help students.

Good MBA with placements.

Placements: The MBA course at our college offers good placement; about 75% of students get placed. Companies like Berger Paints, Bluestone, and many more good companies came to the college. The highest CTC for the student is 7.9 LPA. They offer roles like business development associate.

Infrastructure: The hostel has good Wi-Fi facilities. The mess food is okay. We have fun food activities in our college, and every day they clean the rooms properly and maintain hygiene in the hostel. They perform different hostel activities to ensure proper improvement in the students.

Faculty: Teachers are good. They explain the topics properly and clear our doubts. They prepare us for the industry as well as for exams. This helps with real-life problems and a lot in the corporate world, especially in how we should manage our time working in the organization.

Other: I chose the HR and Business Analytics course because I am interested in HR and want a career in HR. This will help me understand human nature, behavior, and working style in the organization.

Placements: Hello, my name is Satprem Sahoo, and I am currently pursuing the IMBA course in our Utkal University IMBA department. Around 60-70% of students are placed in our course, this is a good option. The highest package is around 15 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Many MNCs also come for recruitment. A good percentage of students, like 40-50%, are placed in roles such as HR, public speaker, presenter, manager, CA, CS, CFS, etc. Thank you all for your time.

Infrastructure: All labs and classrooms are fine, but the hostels are a little messy. Many students are living there for a better future. Overall, this is good, and students can also study there. Other: I chose this because of my dream of getting into business and management. The best thing about this course is the feel is good, and the placement is also good. The things that can be better are the management of the department and the development of the infrastructure. All activities conducted in the department are the best, and prices for each activity are also fair.

It is a very good university and very reliable.

Placements: Very few students have been placed in the previous year. The highest package in our course is around 20 LPA, while the lowest package is around 2-4 LPA. NALCO, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, and Bank of Baroda are our recruiting companies. 20% of our students are able to get placed. Accountant, Business Manager, Researcher, Analytics in Business, etc, roles are offered.

Infrastructure: The facilities of our university are good. Utkal University is known as one of the best universities in Odisha. There are a huge number of hostels for students, and restrictions are also very strict. But be aware of politics because here lots of violence is being created by the political group.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. We have advanced study material, like projectors, in every class. Our course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The examinations are held from time to time, and 75% of attendance is required for the examination.

Other: One of the best universities in Odisha. I'm very glad that I got admission here. I've chosen an MBA in Financial Management because it teaches and enhances our financial skills as well as improves our managerial skills. I would wish for a better class surface and better timings for classes. Events like fests, seminars, etc., are very good here.

Placements: In the last year, 50-60 percent of students have been placed, especially since there are many placements in marketing. The highest package offered is 9 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA. The average package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Axis Bank, Wonderland, and Baby Cure hire students. All students get internships (100 percent).

Infrastructure: Our college provides well-organised smart classrooms with Wi-Fi facilities and a library. Classrooms are good with good, evolving chairs and tables. The hostel is excellent. The mess food is average and not that good. The mess has to improve the meal variety on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, especially.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Many teachers are PhD holders. They are knowledgeable. I would rate 10 out of 10 for the teaching quality. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. If we read properly, we don't have any pressure in exams, and we can easily pass. The pass percentage is 40 percent.

Other: I chose this course because in PGDM, they don't have any entrance exam for admission, and they select through the PI round. Except for marketing, HR, and other specialisations, there are low placements in finance and operations, and they have to increase them. But hopefully this year, placements will be good. It provides practical knowledge, good surroundings, and great lecturers.
