VIT Vellore offers a Master of Social Work (MSW) programme via its School of Social Sciences and Languages (SSL). The course is extended in the full-time mode, over a duration of two years. Admission to VIT Vellore MSW programme is based on candidates' performance in previous qualifying degree/exam, followed by a counselling round for seat allotment, conducted by the Deemed University. Candidates are called for counselling in the order of merit based on the UG aggregate. The final selection of candidates depends on the cut-off fixed on the merit list and the availability of seats.

No, VIT Vellore admissions are not solely based on VITEEE. The university conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for MTech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. Admission to VIT BTech course is based on VITEEE score, followed by a counselling round. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes.
