VIT Vellore BDes Courses & Fees 2026: Admission Dates, Eligibility & Selection

VIT Vellore BDes eligibility criteria is to qualify Class 12 from the recognised board with 50% marks for general category. Students visit the official website. 

IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am – 12 noon). The exam had two mandatory parts: the computer-based Part A and the offline Part B. The UCEED 2025 admission portal was uceed.iitb.ac.in, which hosted all key updates including the information brochure, eligibility criteria, syllabus, candidate portal, and downloadable resources like previous years' question papers and answer keys. 

IIT Bombay declared the results of UCEED 2025 on March 7, 2025. The results were announced for all candidates who appeared in the design entrance exam. However, merit ranks were released only for those who qualified Part A and were shortlisted. Part B answer booklets of candidates who failed to qualify Part A were not evaluated. The qualifying marks for Part A were released around the time of the result declaration.

IIT Bombay has closed the application form for UCEED 2024. The application form was accessible online at https://uceedapp.iitb.ac.in/UCEED/home.jsp

The last date to apply for UCEED 2024 with regular fee was Novemer 13, 2023.  With a late fee of INR 500, applications were accepted up to November 20, 2023.

Applications opened on October 3, 2023.

UCEED application form is for admission to the B. Des programme offered by participating colleges. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria need to fill out the form before the last date.

The placements are going on for the Class of 2025. As of now, a total of 11140 students of batch 2025 of courses like BTech, MCA, MBA, etc., have been placed in reputed companies. The key highlights of VIT Vellore placements for the Class of 2025 are tabulated below:

A total of 14044 offers were made in 2025 including 3499 Dream, 3563 Super Dream and 6982 Regular offers from 868 participating companies. The highest package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2025 stood at INR 1 Cr per annum.

VIT Vellore accepts VITEEE cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to the BTech specialisations. However, the authorities did not release the VIT Vellore VITEEE 2024 cutoff online, and it was only accessible to candidates who appeared for the entrance exam. VIT Vellore's cut off depends on several factors and will be used in the preparation of the merit list for the counselling and admission process.

The CSE placements at VIT Vellore is good. According to the the unofficial online sources, the VIT Vellore CSE avearge package secured by BTech batch 2025 stood at INR 8.13 LPA. The median package offered was INR 6 LPA. A total of 315 CSE students secured the salary of more than INR 20 LPA. Some of the top hiring recruiters for CSE batch 2025 include Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, etc.

VIT Vellore has a good record of placements. As per the latest report, 868 recruiters visited the camous for 2025 drive and presented 14044 job offers to the students. The highest package offered stood at INR 1 Cr per annum. The students of the batch 2025 received 3563 super dream and 3499 dream offers from reputed companies. Some of the top recruiters include Mircosoft, Amazon, Oracle, Dell, PayPal, Cisco, Bank of America, etc.

The VIT Vellore highest package offered during the 2025 placement drive stood at INR 1 Cr per annum LPA. Earlier, the highest packages offered to the batch 2024 was INR 88 LPA. Gong back to 2023 placements, it was NR 1.02 Cr per annum.

For that in the non-core branches, you have to secure under 50k rank and if you want to take admission in core branches then you have to secure under 10k rank. For CSE, you have to score under 1k and for ECE under 5k rank.

It is noticed that all those colleges or universities that enter into collaboration have boosted the skills of the students through their workshops, student and faculty exchange programmes, and others. VIT Vellore has also collaborated with various colleges and universities. The deemed to be university has signed MoUs with various organisations and institutions. Some of them are Pentecost University College (PUC), University for Development Studies (UDS), Vaal University of Technology, South Africa, University of Botswana, Gaborone, University of Rwanda, Arba Minch University, and others.

To get admission in VIT Vellore, students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students can then apply online. The university selects students mainly on an entrance basis. Students have to appear for VITEEE/ VITMEE, etc. exams. It also accepts national-level entrance tests. Selection rounds include interview and counselling. Final admission is done after fees is paid.

Students with 65-75 marks out of 120 will have a fair chance of getting admissions through VITEEE 2023. The cutoff for admissions will be prepared based on various factors related to the entrance exam. However, it is to be noted that only those candidates who secure a rank of up to 1 Lacs will be eligible for admissions into VIT Vellore and Chennai campuses. Those students with a rank above 1 Lacs will be able to apply for admissions into the VIT Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal campuses.

VIT Vellore accepts CAT percentile, NMAT score and MAT percentile for admission to the MBA programme. The table given below consists of the last round closing percentile for admisison to MBA among the OBC candidates in 2024:
