VIT Vellore BArch Eligibility & Highlights 2026
VIT Vellore offers a full-time BArch programme under the V-SPARC School of Architecture for a duration of five years. The programme is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA). Admission to this course is based on a valid NATA score. The shortlisted applicants will be called for counselling (virtual or physical) during which candidates undergo GDPI/ Skill Test. VIT Vellore prepares a final merit list on the basis of NATA scores, Class 12 aggregate and performance in GDPI/ Skill Test. Given below is the minimum eligibility criteria of the programme:

The total tuition fee for VIT Vellore BTech ranges between INR 4.9 lakh and 7.8 lakh. The total course fee, includes a caution deposit of INR 3,000 as well. The fee will vary as per the specialisation selected by the candidates. BTech is available in 24 specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering (Bioinformatics), Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, etc. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for M.Tech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). After passing the entrance exam, aspirants are called further rounds of selection. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for counselling and document verification round.

VIT Vellore BArch application can be filled in online mode on the institute/college page. A short guide to the online application form filling is given below:

The Vellore Institute of Technology has announced the VITMEE exam dates on the official website. VITMEE exam was scheduled for April 28, 2026 and May 3, 2026. Applicants had to carry their VITMEE admit card along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre.
