Chandigarh University offers many bachelors, masters, diploma, and Ph.D. courses. As one of the top universities in India, Chandigarh University tries to offer the best to its students in terms of quality education and placements as well. It has great industry tie-ups that the job offers. The university has set eligibility criteria for each course, and every student must fulfil the same to get admission to the course of their choice. The criteria include the marks obtained in school/college, the required entrance exams, and any other conditions quoted by the university.

Mentioned below are some of the most popular courses at Chandigarh University.

Overview: Students who want to pursue their bachelor’s degree in Engineering can enrol in the B.E/B.Tech program. There is a wide range of 59 courses to choose from. Students get both theoretical as well as practical learning exposure while undergoing this 4-year bachelor’s program. Various competitions and events are organised for Engineering students to showcase their learning and talents.

Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 50–75% aggregate marks, and he/she should have cleared the cut-off marks in the CUCET entrance test.

Fees: The total fee for this programme lies between INR 4.26 lakh and 12.1 lakh.

Top departments: Biotechnology, Aerospace, Automobile, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, IT, and more to choose from.

Placements: Amazon, Microsoft, HP, Deloitte, Dell, IBM, and SAP Labs are the top recruiting companies that offered jobs at the campus. The highest package offered was INR 1.7 crore (international) and INR 52.11 LPA (national).

Overview: Under management, BBA and MBA are the popular courses that students opt for. Students get industrial exposure through workshops, field visits, assignments, and mandatory summer internship programs. This helps the students prepare themselves for the corporate world.

  • BBA

Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 50-60% aggregate marks and he/she should clear the cut-off marks in the CUCET entrance test.

Fees: The total fees for BBA lie between INR 2.50 lakh and INR 3 lakh.

Streams/Specialisations: The student can pick up from Forex, Marketing, Finance, and Business Analytics management.

  • MBA

Eligibility criteria: graduation from a recognised university/college with 50–75% aggregate marks; and he/she should clear the cut-off marks in the CUCET entrance test.

Fees: The total fee for an MBA ranges from INR 3 lakh to INR 6 lakh.

Streams/Specialisations: There are 4 major specializations offered in the MBA program; Marketing, Finance, HR, and international business.

Placements (MBA): Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Flipkart, Amazon, and many other top brands visited campus for placement drives. The highest package offered was INR 28 LPA.

Overview: Another popular course at Chandigarh University is Hotel Management, where students are taught to work in the hospitality sector such as hotels, airlines, hospitals, cruises, etc. They are given proper training, both theoretical and practical.

Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 50% aggregate marks and he/she should clear the cut-off marks in the CUCET entrance test.

Fees: The total fee for this programme is between INR 2.40 lakh and INR 2.80 lakh.

Departments: One can choose to study Travel & Tourism Management, Airline & Airport Management, or Hotel Management under this program.

Placements: Brands like JW Marriott, Hotel Taj, ITC Group of hotels, The Oberoi Group, Radisson, etc. were amongst the top names that offered placements to the students of Chandigarh University. The highest package offered was 18 LPA.

Overview: This programme is designed to train students for the pharmaceutical industry, which is an ever-growing sector. One can pursue a career as a doctor, researcher, pharmacist, or professor.

Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 60% aggregate marks and he/she should clear the cut-off marks in the CUCET entrance test.

Fees: The total fee for this programme ranges from INR 6.36 lakh to 8.48 lakh.

Placements: The top recruiting companies were Apollo Hospitals, IDS Infotech Ltd., Cipla, WNS Global, Roots Analysis, GSK Smith Kline, Chola MS, and more. The highest package offered was INR 4.38 LPA.
