The number of students and the competition are quite high, and hence the quality of placements is not as good as one would expect.

Placements for this course are average.
Placements: According to me, its average as mostly fashion consultant or Salem consultant role was offered. Companies like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Bestseller, etc, were recruiting companies. 5 to 6 students got direct placement from the university in my batch. Some students got their jobs on their own.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good with good facilities like Wi-Fi, lab with top quality sewing machines. Classrooms were very spacious and well lit, with separate computer labs and libraries. Support facilities like cafeterias, canteens, hostels, and recreational areas were so good.
Faculty: Faculty was okay, some of the teachers were very helpful, and some were not. Not all teachers were Ph.D. holders in this course. Some subjects require deeper understanding and more effort to grasp, but its not as hard as we think. Exams format was also not as hard, its pretty easy.

This course is excellent for both online and offline jobs.
Placements: Our college maintains a 66% pass rate for this course. The highest placement package is 16 LPA, with the lowest at 8 LPA, and the average falls between 17–19 LPA. Leading recruiters include top-tier companies. I currently have a 6–8 CGPA in my 3rd semester and secured an internship at Red Hat Linux. The primary roles offered in this course are excellent, with many students transitioning into software-related positions.
Infrastructure: All campus areas, including labs, classrooms, and the cafeteria, are connected with Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are also very good because they provide timely meals, and the wardens are friendly. Wi-Fi facilities are also available in the hostels. The hostel fans and ACs are also working very well.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, skilled, and knowledgeable. They are friendly and approachable, both inside and outside the campus. The Head of Department (HOD) is also very supportive. Students from various countries are enrolled in this course.

College life of an undergraduate.
Placements: Around 40% of the students can secure a job because this course requires a master's degree for better job opportunities. Recruiting companies are Barmalt Marketing and AI Rimal Foodstuff UAE. Top roles include quality control management. The average package ranges from 6 LPA to 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities for the course include well-furnished classes with smart boards for teaching and Wi-Fi. Proper labs are available. There is a library with well-equipped books. In the hostel, facilities are not upto the mark which includes not proper hygiene when it comes to mess food, and no A/C for girls hostels. Night canteen is good and medical facility is okay.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly qualified and have done Ph.D as well. The teaching quality is unique and good for students. The exams are not way too tough. The pass percentage is 40% of the highest score, and the marking scheme is relatively marking.

I am satisfied with the staff and the campus.
Placements: Students pursuing hotel management have been hired with the highest package of 18 LPA and the lowest package of 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are The Oberoi Group, ITC Hotel, The Leela Palace, etc. Almost 60% of students got internships in hotels. The top roles are hotel managers.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of CU is well-developed. The entire campus is covered with Wi-Fi, labs are fully maintained with new equipment, all classrooms are air-conditioned, and there is a library facility with a good study environment. The food in the mess and canteen is freshly prepared without the use of extra spices.
Faculty: Faculty members of CU are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant, and the university conducts semester exams twice a year. The semester exams are not very hard, and every student needs at least 40% marks in each subject to pass the semester exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to develop my hotel management skills and learn about hotel working and infrastructure planning. CU organizes many fests like Carbuncles, Maestros, etc. This university supports and motivates students for extracurricular activities. CU offers various scholarships to its students.

Chandigarh University excels in placements, infrastructure, and industry exposure.
Placements: The placement percentage of B.Sc. (Hons.) in Hotel and Hospitality Management is generally 50-70%. The highest package offered is 1 crore per annum, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Taj Hotel, Oberoi Group, Radisson Hotels, Emirates Airlines, etc. Roles offered are hotel manager, front desk officer, and executive housekeeper.
Infrastructure: Chandigarh University offers a modern and well-equipped campus with excellent infrastructure and hostel facilities, including a more than 150-acre campus with green space and modern buildings. It has smart classrooms with digital learning tools, 18 libraries with extensive academic resources, etc. There are separate hostels for both boys and girls. There are 1-sharing and 2-sharing room options with 24x7 security and CCTV surveillance. The mess is hygienic and serves nutritious food.
Faculty: Chandigarh University has a diverse and highly qualified faculty across various departments. It has experienced professors. Many faculty members are PhD holders in their specialised departments. They are expert in engineering, management, humanities research, and innovation. More than 4,300 patents have been filed by faculty members and students. In the semester exams, the pass percentage is moderate.
Other: Chandigarh University hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, like Tech-Invent 2024, National Science Day, Hack Overflow 3.0, international conferences, etc.

Not satisfied with my department.
Placements: No students were placed in my course as the Forensic Science department has no placement drive. Students can take internships from police stations, CFSL, and SFSL; they are government and free of cost. Forensic Science is a course where you don't get placements, so hoping for one after completing B.Sc. is a waste of time. Instead, one should focus on completing their Masters in Forensic Science.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in our department block doesn't work, even for teachers. The library in our department has very few books on Forensic Science, which is very sad to see. Labs are not equipped with high technology instruments, and whatever they have, they don't maintain properly. Laboratories are very poor. Hostel facilities are good. They offer good food and have an ambulance to take students to the dispensary within the campus. The wardens and guards need to learn to talk politely.
Faculty: Few faculty members are great, and they help us a lot. My curriculum is fairly relevant. The difficulty level of semester exams is average, and the passing marks depend on the average of the class toppers, so it is not fair to other students who are not at the top.
Other: Events are great, with many celebrities coming every other month.
