Dr. B. Swathi is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) Department at New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore. She is a Ph.D. graduate in computer science with a specialization in Soft Computing.
Q1. What are the three things that your institute/college/university is doing that will enable it to differentiate itself from the competition?

BE is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. The college offers BE in seven specialisations, namely Computer Science, Mechanical, Computer Science (Data Science), Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Information Science & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Candidates after completing Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages with at least 45% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biology can apply for the BE course. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum aggregate for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination. Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate in each subject is required for Management Quota.

Karnataka PGCET counselling is conducted every year for admission to MBA, MCA, M.Tech and MArch courses. Candidates who pass the Karnataka PGCET exam are eligible to participate in the documenty verification process. KEA starts Karnataka PGCET counselling 30 to 40 days after the result date.
