DU Exam Marking Scheme 2025

Delhi University follows a firm pattern of promotion/ passing of a student from one semester or year to another. The ordinances of the marking scheme are different and categorised under two categories:

  1. Three-year Semester Scheme

Q:   Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?
A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   Is CUET exam registration open?
A:

Yes, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 registration has commenced at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA released the CUET 2026 notification on January 03. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2026 process has commenced online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2026 exam must make sure to complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they fulfill the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.

Q:   How can I get admission to B.Voc at DU?
A:

The admission to BVoc was based on merit in the last qualifying examination till admission 2021. However, now the admission is granted based on CUET scores to the applicants. Before applying for the course, aspirants must also check out the course-specific eligibility requirements. The eligible students can visit the CUET website and select Delhi University as preference for admission with correct course combination.
