Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, Visakhapatnam (GITAM Visakhapatnam) was established in 1980. It offers more than 100 courses at UG, PG and PhD level. At PG level, GITAM Institute of Technology functioning under GITAM Visakhapatnam offers MTech programme of two-year duration in various specialisations. Also, it conducts GITAM Admission Test PGT (GAT PGT) for granting admission to various MTech specialisations.

GITAM Visakhapatnam MTech Admission 2020
GITAM Visakhapatnam offers MTech across 20 specialisations for BE/ BTech graduates. For admission to MTech programme, candidates need to qualify GAT PGT exam. There is no age limit to apply for the programme.
GAT PGT 2020:GAT PGT is a University level exam for admission in MTech degree courses offered by the GITAM Visakhapatnam. The application forms of the GAT PGT 2020 has been released by the exam authorities and candidates can register themselves in online or offline mode. Through GITAM GAT PGT students will get admission to the MTech course offered by GITAM University in all its three campuses, located in Bengaluru, Vishakhapatnam, and Hyderabad. It is a two-hour long exam with 100 objective-type questions. Each question has four options out of which one is correct. For each correct answer, applicants are awarded four marks and one mark is deducted for any question answered incorrectly. Unanswered questions will carry no deductions. The topics covered in GAT PGT include Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and Verbal Ability. |

GITAM Visakhapatnam MTech Application Process 2020
The admission to all the programmes is done online through the official website of GITAM (www.gitam.edu). Here are the screenshots to elaborate a step-by-step application process of GITAM Visakhapatnam for your reference:
Step 1: Visit the official website of GITAM. Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and click on ‘Apply Online’
Step 2: Select the course and course-specific institute. Hit ‘Apply Now’ once done. Further, click on ‘New Applicant’ to register yourself online
Step 3: Register by addressing details, including your name, email ID, mobile number. Create an alpha-numeric password for future logins
Step 4: On the first page of the application form, fill all the personal details, including guardian information, gender, category, etc. Also, upload a recent passport-size photograph in JPG format (up to 200 kb)
Step 5: In the second page, add details regarding address of communication, including permanent and local address
Step 6: Further, add details of educational qualifications. Also, add entrance exam score (if any). Select hostel and transport facility specifications
Step 7: Select test center and dates (in case of GITAM in-house entrance exam). Also, choose the subject specification for the respective entrance exam
Step 8: Upload all the required documents to support the info furnished in the application form. Hit ‘Proceed’ to reach the final step of the application form
Step 9: Select the type of fee to be paid. Click on ‘Registration Fee’ to reach the payment gateway. Pay the prescribed application fee using debit card/ credit card/ net banking
Step 10: Conclude the application process by downloading the filled application form and payment confirmation receipt for future references

Yes, GITAM School of Technology Hyderabad does offer BTech courses in diff. specialisations. Also, to be eligible students should have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and have atleast 50% or 60% aggregate depending on the specific programme.
