Q: Can you tell us the admission process and selection criteria in detail?
A: As a part of the admission process, all eligible applicants need to fill up the online application form on the institute’s official website by paying a nominal fee of Rs 1,000. Along with the form, all supporting documents such as photo identity proofs, mark sheets, address proofs, etc., need to be uploaded.
The final selection will be purely based on students’ merit performance and scores in JEE Main or SAT exam.
The last date to apply for admission 2020 is September 12.

A: Our four-year full-time BTech programme brings students the opportunity to choose from various specialisation options that aim at keeping students at par with the current industry standards, irrespective of the option they choose. This includes:

Q: Could you please talk about the programme structure?
A: Our curriculum is a perfect blend of both theoretical sessions and practical exposure that aims at the holistic development of the student. Also, the curriculum comprises courses such as Humanities, Creative Sciences, Natural Sciences, Core Engineering, Department specific and projects which helps to develop a ‘whole-brain-approach’ to business.
To successfully graduate with a BTech degree from Mahindra Ecole Centrale, a student needs to acquire 172 credits in total in all the above-mentioned courses in four years out of which 42 credits belong to the first and fourth year each and 44 credits belong to the second and third year each.
Q: What is the total cost of four year BTech programme at Mahindra Ecole Centrale? Do you offer any kind of scholarships or financial aid to students?
A: The academic fee for the BTech programme is Rs 4 LPA. The College understands the importance of education and respects students aspirations to grow in life and hence does not let the unavailability of sufficient funds to be a hindrance in students’ education.
Every year institute offers a total of 48 merit scholarships that are equally distributed across all four branches, i.e. 12 per branch, out of which 11 are offered on the basis of JEE scores and one is offered on the basis of SAT score.
The scholarships amount to Rs 1 lakh per student per year.
Since the academic year 2019, the institute has also begun to offer five additional scholarships amounting to Rs 1 lakh to top five North-East Indian students admitted to BTech programme, basis proper document submission.
In addition to this, the institute also offers 20 scholarships to female candidates on merit-basis. The scholarship will be continued if the female candidate scores CGPA of 7 and above in the four-year BTech programme.
Q: Do you also offer accommodation facility on campus?
A: The institute also offers hostel facility to students on a twin-sharing basis. The cost for the same is Rs 2 LPA.
Q: Can you share some latest placement statistics?
A: Placements are a critical part and the final milestone in any student’s academic life. Every year we witness active participation of reputed recruiters such as Line Inc., Oisix Systems, Tecnos, Cisco, Capgemini, ZS Associates, Mahindra & Mahindra, TechnipFMC, K Raheja Corp, Intel, Mu Sigma, Jocata, ADP, PhenomPeople, Cognizant, Kasura, Cyient, Tech Mahindra and Satyam-Venture.
In the last placement session, we witnessed the highest package of Rs 45 lakh offered to students while the average package stood at Rs 7.5 lakh. Nearly all 100 per cent students were interested and eligible for placement and institute successfully placed all of them.
