Hostel Fees and Facilities at Lovely Professional University

For commuting from hostels to the academic blocks facility in Lovely Professional University, E-rickshaws and Helix Bikes are available at a nominal cost.

Lovely Professional University is one of the World's largest Universities in terms of providing lodging facilities to its students. It has the capacity to accommodate approx 25,000 of its students on its campus. Talking in terms of the number of hostels available inside the campus, the university has a total of 9 hostels for boys, which can accommodate approx 18,500 male students and 6 hostels for girls, which can accommodate approx 6,500 female students. The entire University campus is spread over approx 600 acres of land. For commuting from hostels to the academic blocks facility, E-rickshaws and Helix Bikes are available at a nominal cost. Apart from this, students are also permitted to ply their private two-wheelers or four-wheelers, for which a sufficient parking area is available near every academic block.

Types of Accommodation

There are two types of accommodation available for the students, namely Apartment-type accommodation and Standard Hostel-type accommodation. Apartment-type accommodation has one to four-seater rooms available. All the apartment rooms are decked up with air conditioning facilities. Furniture including a wooden bed box, study table, chair and almirah are provided in the rooms. Apartments also have a lobby and pantry area. Washrooms are attached to the rooms with geysers fitted inside them. 

On the other hand, Standard hostel-type accommodation has two to six-seater rooms available. Hostel accommodation gives the option to choose between air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned accommodation to the students. Furniture items namely bed, almirah, study table and chair are provided here.

Other Facilities at Lovely Professional University 

Considering the diversity of culture on the campus of Lovely Professional University, a variety of meal options are available in the hostel mess including North Indian as well as south Indian cuisines with separate counters for spicy and non-spicy food.

The university campus has given due consideration to the visiting parents/guests of the residential students. The guest room facility is available for the parents and guests of the hostlers. Other facilities within the hostels include a cafeteria, laundry, TV room, study room, departmental store, salon, ATMs, lifts, CCTVs in corridors, water coolers, PA systems, fire hydrant, open gym, indoor gym, outdoor and indoor sports complex, shooting range, Olympic size swimming pool, availability of Library facilities till midnight, availability of Mac lab, 24-hour medical facilities at the university hospital, sanitary napkin incinerator machine for girls in the hostels and a lot more. 

University Mall has the best shopping and dining facilities on the campus. The post office and banks are available in-house.

Prescribed Charges For Apartment-type accommodation for the academic year 2022-23:

(a) For 1 seater- INR 1,90,000

(b) For 2 seater- INR 1,40,000

(c) For 3 seater- INR 1,10,000

(d) For 4 seater- INR 95,000

However, an early bird benefit of INR 10,000 is available if a student registers for the same by Jun 30, 22.

Mess Plan Details

Students are either given the option to dine in mess or to manage their meals on their own. While opting for dining in mess three options are given to the students to choose from:

1. Standard Mess Plan with Four Meals: This includes breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.

2. Standard Mess Plan with Three Means: This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Both the plans mentioned above give the students a choice among North Indian/  South Indian/ Rajasthani/ Haryanvi/ Gujrati/ Eastern/ North Eastern Cuisines.

3. Ala Carte / Choice of Options: Choosing this mess plan gives students the option to choose their meals from the various cuisines prepared. This type of plan is available only at a central location to the students.

Mess Fees at Lovely Professional University 

1. Standard Mess Plan with 4 meals: INR 40,000

2. Standard Mess Plan with 3 meals: INR 30,000

3. Ala Carte/ Choice of Options: INR 50,000

Terms and conditions for Mess Plans:

- Charges for the mess are applicable for 10 months from the start of the session or it will cover the regular academic session whichever is earlier.

- An early bird benefit of INR 500 is available on the mess fees if the option is exercised by a student before Jun 30, 22.
