Q1. Can You Please Provide Us with an Overview of KIET and its Mission?
KIET Group of Institutions is a premier educational group in Delhi-NCR that is committed to equipping students with future-ready technological skills to meet the needs of the ever-evolving industry. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various disciplines such as engineering, pharmacy, management and computer applications.
Our teaching pedagogy is a blend of theoretical knowledge and experiential learning, which enables us to shape well-rounded professionals who can contribute to the progress of the nation. Now that our institute has been conferred with Autonomous Status by UGC, we have updated the academic curriculum that emphasizes on innovation, entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and holistic development of the student. With this, I believe that our aim is quite clear, i.e. to empower our students with quality education and transform them into globally competitive engineers and technocrats.

The MBA department has 5 professors, 3 associate professors and 14 assistant professors with specialisation in various subjects like Finance, International Business, Enterpreneurship etc. The well maintained classrooms and high proficiency labs also makes this institute first choice. With centre of excellence, good alumni network and recruiter support, this institute is good for MBA.
Q2. What Sets KIET Apart from Other Engineering and Technology Institutes?
I believe KIET’s ideology to keep students’ needs, and future growth as its priority is the major factor that sets it apart from other engineering and technology institutes. We have a dedicated team of experienced faculty members who impart focused and skill-based education to the students.
As said earlier, we do not simply rely on classroom learning; rather, we provide our students with full-fledged exposure to real-world challenges and opportunities. We facilitate industry visits, international internships, and guest lectures for our students. Not just this, we have established state-of-the-art Centres of Excellence on campus, in collaboration with L&T Edutech, Mercedes Benz India, BIESSE India, nVIDIA, and SAC-ISRO to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
The institute is adorned with modern infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories to ensure that the learning needs of the students are fulfilled.
Q3. How Has KIET Adapted to the Changing Landscape of Education and Technology in Recent Years?
We ensure that our curriculum aligns with the latest industry trends by introducing value-added courses. Recently, we have added a new branch to B.Tech course, i.e. Electrical & Computer Engineering that shall provide knowledge of computer architecture, software testing, networking, hardware components, and robotics to meet the needs of Industry 4.0.
We had transitioned to blended learning models immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, we leverage digital platforms and the latest technologies to conduct virtual labs, and online classes, and provide a collaborative learning environment to the students. We have even expanded our online resources, including online course materials and research databases to support remote learning and accessibility.
As we envision to go global, we have set up a Department of International Relations to support the students with learning foreign languages, scholarships, immersion programmes, international internships, and higher education abroad. We also encourage peer to peer learning through technical, cultural and literary student clubs. Each day, after their classes, the students spend time in the clubs of their interest and follow their passion, irrespective of what course they are pursuing.
Q4. Could You Highlight Some of the Recent Accomplishments or Milestones Achieved by KIET?
One of the recent achievements is Autonomous Status by UGC, as I have mentioned earlier. Apart from that, we have been awarded in the category of “Excellence in Green Campus & Sustainability Initiatives” during The ET Education Annual Education Summit & Award Ceremony 2024. We have been ranked at the 15th position in the North region by the Times Ranking Survey 2024 and at the 46th position in Outlook India's Best Colleges Ranking 2024.
Q5. In What Ways Does KIET Foster a Culture of Inclusivity and Diversity on Campus?
We, as an Institution, practice and encourage policies that ensure equal opportunity for all students. To promote Girl Child education, the institute provides special weightage to girl students, in terms of admission, research, scholarships and other parameters. KIET believes in providing a supportive and welcoming environment to all the faculty members and students from different geographical regions, therefore, we have a good gender and geographical diversity ratio at our campus. We also aim to bring inclusivity by involving all the faculty members, students as well as other stakeholders, in making decisions, based on their innovative ideas, feedback and suggestions.
