 LPU UMS provides students with the facility to check their timetables online.

Lovely Professional University has a smart platform named University Management System and is famous as UMS. It is an e-platform facility for the staff members (teaching and non-teaching) and the students. To log in to this platform, students and staff members need to enter their Username and Password. For staff members, their username is their employee ID, whereas for students the user name is their registration number. As this article is for students so it has details about the application of UMS for students and its benefits to them. 

University Management System at LPU

Once you are logged in as a student, the first page you see is the way to the home page. Here you will get a tab named Home and Logout. Apart from these two important tabs, you will see different types of university-related announcements, a daily inspirational quote, and a list of events and on the top left side, you can see your passport-size photo with your name. By clicking on the home tab, you enter into the first page, which allows you to avail all the facilities for which the UMS exists. Let us talk about these facilities one by one. 

My Messages: Once you enter the home page the very first thing you see as a student will be the My Messages tab. Clicking on this tab you can see all the messages which are being sent to you by your teachers or university management. This may include information related to your class assessments, events, exam dates, placement drives, fee payment, etc. 

Relationship Management System: Relationship Management System is usually called RMS. It is meant for strengthening the relationship between the university and students. Here under this facility students can raise a complaint, make suggestions and requests and can seek information. All these actions can be taken for any issue related to academics, accounts, duty leave, exams, attendance, etc. Here students can raise queries or complaints against any unfavorable situation and it will directly go to the concerned department through RMS. This will be further routed to the concerned person, who could help find out the solution. Processing takes almost 2-3 days, and thereafter the students receive the update on UMS in that regard. 

Time Table: UMS also provides you with the facility to check your timetable online. Being one of the largest universities in India, Lovely Professional University has thousands of students with hundreds of courses running at the same time under one campus. So timetable updates and changes are more frequent at least in the first two to three weeks of the semester. So for students' convenience, it has been made available online on UMS, so that students can check their timetable on their phone or laptop instead of running here and there in case of any changes.

Examination Activities: UMS has one examination tab for students, where they can check the activities and information related to the examination. This may include, the date of regular exams, date of registration for appearances and backlogs, results of various subjects, etc. 

Class Assessment-Related Activities: UMS gives you the facility to download your class assignment for all the subjects uploaded by the respective faculty members. Further, it also facilitates you to upload the same class assignment after completing it at your end. UMS will flash the message under the My Messages tab that the assignment has been uploaded for a particular course code. In the same way, marks uploaded by the teacher would also be reflected here. 

Attendance: LPU UMS helps you keep a check on your attendance every day. It shows you your attendance in various forms like in terms of percentage and several lectures attended or not attended and it goes online every day provided the same has been updated by the teacher at his or her end. 

Above are the basic facilities which the LPU University Management System provides to the students. Apart from providing facilities, UMS also works as a common information centre for the students. This information may be in the form of rules, regulations, policies and guidelines of the university related to the conduct of students inside the campus. It also provides you with various formats, which may be required in case you are seeking any special permission as per your requirement or specific purpose.
