Why I Chose Jaipur National University for My Career in Cardiology

Finding the perfect college and course was difficult for me. I wanted to join a college that helps boost my practical knowledge. As a Biology student, I was interested in Cardiology for my higher studies. After a lot of research, I found out that Jaipur National University aligns perfectly with my goals. I enrolled in the BSc CVT course here. The syllabus includes various topics related to the anatomy of the heart, its physiology, cardiac diseases such as CAD, rheumatic heart disease, etc.

Yes, Jaipur National University does offer BCom courses at the undergraduate level. The programme lasts for three years and is offered in both regular and honours degrees. The BCom course is also available in distance-learning mode. Jaipur National University  BCom admission is strictly based on the merit of the qualifying examination percentage/CGPA followed by a personal interview. However, candidates must fulfil the eligibility norms for qualification of the BCom course governed by UGC/Relevant Applicable Council – AICTE/ BCI/ PCI/ RCI. The eligibility criteria for a BCom at the Jaipur National University are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 with 45% aggregate in the relevant subjects and for BCom (Hons) at least 55% is required in Class 12 boards.

Clearing the Criteria: My Road to Admission at JNU Jaipur

The eligibility criteria for this course specified that I was required to secure a minimum of 50% of the marks in Class 12. Furthermore, scores from either the JNU CET (Jaipur National University Combined Entrance Test) or the Rajasthan JET Agriculture were considered. The university has been recognized by UGC and approved by NCTE and BCI. I achieved 72% in Class 12 and appeared for the university's personal interview. After clearing the personal interview, I was selected for admission to the college.

A Glimpse into Life at JNU Jaipur: Academics, Activities, and Campus Culture

My experience at Jaipur National University has been filled with enthusiasm. From continuous lectures to practicals and hospital postings, I have gained in-depth knowledge about my field. I keep participating in clubs, sports, cultural events, student organisations, workshops, and webinars. This helps me develop my leadership skills, teamwork skills, and medical health communication better.
The campus setting is structured to promote sustainability and incorporates tea posts and canteen services that are available to students. The institute has classrooms well-equipped with the latest digital technology. There is also a special auditorium and a seminar hall for hosting workshops and webinars.

The university comprises three campuses, each housing distinct departments along with extensive libraries containing necessary books and landscaped lawns. Mobile phones and laptops are allowed for presentations. There is a sports complex which has separate grounds for cricket, football, kabaddi, volleyball, and badminton. Security guards are present at every gate of the campus, and the campus is ragging-free. The management has imposed restrictions on smoking and other inappropriate activities.

Gratitude and Growth: My Personal and Professional Development at JNU

My time at Jaipur National University has transformed me both personally and professionally. The challenges and experiences have made me more confident in my hospital education, patient dealing, and treatment. It has made me adaptable and ready for the future. I am grateful to the university for all the knowledge and experiences that it has provided me so far.

Future goals:

I aspire to collaborate with highly skilled Physicians and Cardiologists. My goal is to enhance awareness of heart health, contributing to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases through early detection and preventive measures. I am assured that my professional journey in this domain will be extensive and rewarding.

Yes, Jaipur National University conducts JEST for scholarship and admission to various courses. The exam is computer based online test. The test comprises of 75 questions. Each question carries one mark. There is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

No, admissions in the course are strictly entrance based. All students have to appear for CLAT to be eligible for admissions. The university may accept JNU CET scores as well. Moreover, a Personal Interview is also a part of selection process.
