3 mins readUpdated on Sep 23, 2022 03:35 IST

When it comes to academic exposure, workshops are considered the most important aspect. Aside from learning new things, attending a workshop allows students to form new relationships, connect with people who share similar interests, learn about the topics discussed, and investigate their interests on a more personal and deeper level. As there are many courses being offered by our college, it becomes necessary for us to engage in course-oriented workshops. General workshops are also organised at our college where every student of different branches can participate.

The discussion highlighted that COVID-19 has led to a non-stop surge in the way digital technologies are being used due to the nationwide lockdown and social distancing. People and organisations all over the world have had to adjust to this new way of working and living. Therefore, possible scenarios of the research issues and technological surge that arise were explored and examined during the workshop. With the impending rise of digitalization, leading educational institutions and corporations have shifted to work-from-home (WFH). That's why students were also introduced to Blockchain technology during the workshop because of the thought that it will soon become a very important part of everyone’s lives and will likely entail research on design and regulations. Other topics discussed included the fact that the gig economy and gig workers are likely to grow in size, raising issues of work monitoring, allocation, and motivation; and that technology-stress issues will become more prominent with increased digital presence. Students were also notified about online fraud that is likely to grow, along with research on security management.
