NTA has released the Provisional Answer Key of JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can check the answer key online by login to the website. Along with the answer key, JEE Main Response Sheet is also displayed. JEE Main answer key and response sheet can be used by candidates to calculate their marks.

NTA has started the facility to raise objections in JEE Main answer key in case they're not satisfied with the answers. The procedure for objection/ challenging JEE Main session 2 answer key 2026 can be checked here. How to Challenge JEE Main 2026 Answer Key? NTA has released the Provisional Answer Key of JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can check the answer key online by login to the website. Along with the answer key, JEE Main Response Sheet is also displayed. JEE Main answer key and response sheet can be used by candidates to calculate their marks/score in exam. The last date to challenge the JEE Main 2026 session 2 answer key is April 13.

Q:   If a candidate has not participated in JoSAA counselling, will he/she be eligible to take part in CSAB counselling?

Yes, candidates who do not participate in the JoSAA counselling are eligible to participate in the CSAB counselling. Candidates must complete the CSAB counselling registration using JEE Main application number. After the registration process, the exam authorities will commence the document verification process.

The age limit will be applicable as mentioned in JEE Main/JEE Advanced brochure and official website. There is no seperate age limit criteria prescribed for JoSAA counselling.

What is Answer Key Challenge in JEE Mains?

The challenge of answer key is the process of submitting grievances in answers to the issuing authority. In JEE Main exam, NTA has releases the provisional answer key on website and challenges are invited. If candidates feel that the answers given by the NTA in JEE Answer Key are wrong, they can report it to NTA by following the process of answer key challenge. This process of reporting any inconsistencies in the answer key is referred as JEE Main answer key challenge. Candidates can dispute any inconsistencies or discrepancies in the JEE Main 2026 official answer key through this facility.

Why Should I Challenge the JEE Main 2026 Answer Key?

If candidates believe a marked answer is correct and the official key suggests otherwise, they have the option to challenge it. This process provides transparency in the result preparation process. Based on the challenges received NTA will make changes in the answer key if they find the challenges relevant. After any changes in the provisional JEE Main 2026 answer key, NTA will release the final answer key based on which the JEE Main 2026 result is prepared. Thus candidates must challenge the JEE Main answer key, if they feel answers in the answer key are wrong. This will lead to the fair calculation of the JEE Main result.

How to Raise Objection in JEE Mains April Answer Key 2026

To challenge answer key, candidates need to log in to official website using their respective login credentials and pay a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 per question. The payment can be made using credit/debit card, Net banking, UPI, or PAYTM service. If NTA approves challenge, fee will be refunded.

The procedure to challenge the answer key involves logging in with the Application Number and Password. Once logged in, candidates can check the question number, upload supporting document and click on 'Save your claim'. Challenge fee has to be paid online.

Instructions for How to Challenge Questions in JEE Mains

  • Visit the official JEE Main 2026 website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
  • Click ‘Answer Key Challenge for JEE Main 2026’.
  • Login with your Application Number and Passord enter the Security PIN as displayed and Submit.
  • Click ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key’.
  • You will see the Question IDs in the below sequential order for JEE Main 2026.
  • The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the most appropriate Answer Key by NTA.
  • If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
  • You may upload supporting documents for which you can select ‘Choose File and Upload (all documents to be put in a single PDF file).
  • After clicking your desired option, for Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Mathematics / Aptitude Test for Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Mathematics / Aptitude Test / Planning for Paper 2B (B.Planning), scroll down and ‘Save you claim’ and move on to the next screen.
  • You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
  • Click on ‘Save your claim and Pay Fee finally’.
  • Select the Mode of Payment and Pay a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200/- for each question.
