November 21, 2020: According to a recent report by Stanford University, USA, the Saveetha School of Engineering ranks second among India's top two percent of scientists. Stanford University, located in the United States, has recently published a list that represents the top 2% of the most-cited scientists in the different disciplines. The comprehensive list contains 1,59,683 individuals that include nearly 1,500 scientists, physicians and engineers from India.

Saveetha School of Engineering Leads Among Top 2% Indian Scientists in Individual Study by Stanford University USA

November 21, 2020: According to a recent report by Stanford University, USA, the Saveetha School of Engineering ranks second among India's top two percent of scientists. Stanford University, located in the United States, has recently published a list that represents the top 2% of the most-cited scientists in the different disciplines. The comprehensive list contains 1,59,683 individuals that include nearly 1,500 scientists, physicians and engineers from India.

Saveetha School of Engineering holds first place in Tamil Nadu and has been ranked 122nd in the Building & Construction category worldwide, and the award has been presented for Holt's hard work, Professor Gary D of Saveetha School of Engineering, for having the institution recognised as a world-class educational research centre.

"The analysis indicates that Saveetha School Engineering's research results act as an international public good for international science studies in a number of oriented fields. When your work is acknowledged, it really felt good," says Dr NM Veérayan, Chairman and Founder, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences.

Saveetha University Launches Covid Home Care for patients in home quarantine

June 15, 2020: With Chennai being one of the worst-hit Covid cities of India, Saveetha University launched the ‘Covid home care for patients in home quarantine’. The initiative is intended for 80 per cent of Covid affected patients, who have mild or no symptoms, and require home quarantine.

The programme includes an initial home visit from healthcare professionals, who will deliver the home care kit for attenders, train them and will educate them about how to implement the home care protocol effectively. Physician's mobile briefing on the review status and treatment evaluation will happen every three days. A trained healthcare professional will monitor the health of the infected person twice a day.

Savaeetha University has undertaken the responsibility of the neighbouring villages also that are within 50 km of range.  It will help the healthcare professionals to pick up the early signs of danger so that appropriate action can be taken at the right time, and prevent morbidity and mortality.

Students of Law School Win National Moot Court Competition’19

November 19, 2019: Students from School of Law, Saveetha University participated in National Moot Court Competition 2019 along with 25 other colleges across India. Suba Yoga. S, Madhu Balaaji. S and Rangeela. R.P represented Saveetha School Of Law as one of the top eight teams out of 26 in Prelims. The team qualified the quarterfinals against National Law University (NLU) Bhopal and semi-finals against Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNLU) Patiala. Making to the victory, the students knocked out the Christ University in finals with a lead of 25 points. The session was judged by former Chief Justice of India Justice Dipak Misra. Students were awarded cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with trophy and SCC subscription for one year.

University Celebrates 14th Annual Convocation Ceremony; Awards Degree to 620 Graduands

November 18, 2019: The 14th annual convocation ceremony was held on November 18 at  Saveetha University - Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS). Over 620 graduands were awarded degrees, including 30 Ph.D scholars, 100 MBAs, 13 M.E/MTech, 262B.E/BTech, 57 Bachelor of Physical Education and 160 Law graduates.

Chancellor and Founder Dr N M Veeriyan presided over the function and advised students to achieve great career prospects and make parents and college feel proud.

Vice Chancellor Dr Rakesh Kumar Sharma talked about the growth initiatives and achievements of the institution and also advised everyone to always aim high and dream deep.

Consul General of the Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany, Chennai, Tamil Nadu Karin Christina Maria Stoll were invited as chief guest and awarded all graduands with degrees and awards. She also stated about collaborating Saveetha- a Multi Trans disciplinary University with Universities in Germany for student and faculty exchange programs focusing on research and academic excellence in various disciplines.

Saveetha University Celebrates Founder’s Day

November 15, 2019: Recognising contribution to various fields and society as a whole, Founder & Chancellor Saveetha University - Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences Dr N M Veeraiyan, honoured three outstanding individuals with a Lifetime Award.

Top ranks candidates were given scholarships from the fields of medicine, dentistry, technology, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, allied health sciences, administration & legislation. Prizes were given to best performing faculty and award-winning students.

Motivational speaker and a writer Bharathi Baskar was invited as the chief guest of the function. She addressed the students of the university about how to strive for excellence in life.

Saveetha University’s SSE Research Division Delivers Research Presentation Series

October 21, 2019: SSE Research division, organised the research Colloquium. Professors of the Department of CSE delivered the Research Presentation Series 1-4. Professor Dr S Magesh emphasised on "Cloud, AI and ML spreading in real-world enterprises". Professor Dr L Rama Parvathy shared with the audience the mathematical modelling of the objective variable and explained the multi-objective optimisation techniques. Asst. Professor Ashok Kumar addressed the identification of supernatural pictures from video frames on the "Photo Oclusion Identification". Associate Professor Dr Mary Subaja  presented "The IoT Applications Containment Aware Routing Protocol".

Yes you can get Savitha University with 85% in JEE Mains because according to Saveetha and many more university does offer admission at this percentile.

Maybe you will get tougher competition in top branches but lower branches are easy to get

Yes, you can get a seat in H.Sc Hons in Cardiovascular Echnology at Saveetha University.

Your marks are enough, you only have to clear the personal interview.

Generally according to the Medical Council of india in all Medical colleges classes starts from 8 in the morning and last till 4 in the evening with a lunch break of generally at 1:00 to 2:00 pm.The classes are full time.The classes include both theory and practical classes.

B.Sc in Radiotherapy is offered at Saveetha Institute of medical sciences. Saveetha institute of medical sciences is a deemed to be University. Saveetha medical college also comes under saveetha University like saveetha dental college and saveetha school of  engineering and others.

To get MBBS at Saveetha University (under management quota), you need around 500–530+ marks in NEET (General category). Cutoff varies each year.

You cannot apply for the MBA programme at Saveetha Engineering College without a valid entrance exam score. Admission requires candidates to have bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and to qualify in one of the accepted entrance exams such as MAT, TANCET, CET or GMAT.

Saveetha College of Architecture and Design admissions are completely based on merit, except for BArch and MArch. The selection criteria for these courses are NATA for the BArch and PGETA/GATE for the MArch courses. The table below showcase course-wise selection criteria:
