As per NIRF 2025 rankings, CU is ranked 31 under the 'Engineering' category and managed to improve its position from the last year's ranking, which was 32 in the year 2024. CU has set records for engineering education & is ranked among the Best Engineering Colleges in Punjab, India.

The students pursuing BTech from the university get excellent placement offers. The highest international and domestic packages offered during Chandigarh University placement 2025 was INR 170 LPA and INR 54.75 LPA, respectively. 

Q:   Does Chandigarh University provide a BA History course?
A: 
Chandigarh University offers a Bachelor of Arts (Hons. ). Liberal Arts course which includes the foundation study of History, Political Science, and Literature & Cultures. B.A. Alone is not offered in History. The various specialisations in which B.A. Is offered are Film & Television Studies - ITP (Study in the USA), Economics, Journalism and Mass Communication, and others.
Q:   Is CUCET compulsory for BCA at Chandigarh University?
A: 

Candidates are selected based on their past academic records and scores of entrance exam conducted by Chandigarh University. The university conudcts its in-house entrance exam, i.e., CUCET for admission to various UG and PG courses. This exam is conducted every year in two phases. Interested candidates must visit the official website of CU and fill an online application process for CUCET and appear for the entrance exam.
