Engineering Colleges accepting JEE Main for B.Tech in Delhi - Other

The JEE Main eligibility criteria of minimum 75% marks in class 12 is required at the time of admission in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates must note that there in no minimum requirement of 75% marks in class for appearing in JEE Mains. Candidates can apply and appear in JEE Mains 2024 irrespective of their class 12 marks. The JEE Advanced cutoff for 2025 has been released for Round 1. For BTech in Chemical Engineering, the JEE Advanced last round closing ranks were 2548 and 2464 for IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay, respectively, for the students belonging to the General AI quota. For CSE admission at IIT Gandhinagar, the last round closing rank stood at 2020. Therefore, regardless of the branch you get, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are also considered to be better options due to their brand value, academics, and placements. 

In case your preference is only CSE, IIT Gandhinagar is not a bad option, as it is also known for its academics and faculty. Plus the CSE branch has better placement opportunities. No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Further, DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED,  GATE,  CAT,  MAT and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialised courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam  (UG level) followed by an interview round. 

The students who get selected for admission need to pay the first semester or admission fee. Jamia Milia Islamia BTech CSE (DS) tuition fee is INR 6.12 lakh. This fee is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.

Candidates need to be Class 12 pass with minimum 70% aggregate in five subjects including Physics, Maths and Chemistry and 70% in Mathematics in Class 12 from a recognised board to become eligible for the BTech programme. Yes, Netaji Shubhash University of Technology does offer a BTech course for 4 years. Then, the course is divided into eight semesters, and given in full-time mode. Students can choose the BTech specialisation as per their preferences and cutoff scores.

NIT Delhi BTech cutoff 2025 has not been released yet. However, if candidates compare the cutoff for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024 will find out that the closing rank for some of the BTech specialisations has been increased and the competition has decreased. If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.

Lateral entry BTech admissions at GGSIPU are done on the basis of merit in IPU CET.
