B.Tech Civil Engineering Colleges in Delhi/NCR

IIT Delhi ranks amongst the top five IITs in India. IITD has ranked 2 under 'Engineering' and 4 under 'Overall' and 'Management' categories by the NIRF 2023. Usually, the cutoff for DTU stays around 90, even for the reserved categories. Therefore, getting into B.Tech courses at DTU is difficult with a JEE Main percentile score of 90 or below. The cutoff also goes high and low every year, depending on the following factors: Number of aspirants registered, The difficulty level of the exam, Total number of seats available, total number of applications received for a particular program, and the category under which admission is sought. Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff and give an exact answer to this question.

The students who get selected for admission need to pay the first semester or admission fee. Jamia Milia Islamia BTech CSE (DS) tuition fee is INR 6.12 lakh. This fee is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.

The selection process for the BTech course at NIT Delhi depends on the scores achieved by applicants in JEE Mains scores followed by JoSAA counselling. Initially, the minimum eligibility criteria required by the institute is candidate' must qualify for their Class 12 from Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 75%. The institute does not specify the minimum score required to get admission to UG engineering courses, the required score can vary each year depending on competition, seat availability, and the category of the candidate. NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 was January 24 to February 1 while the second session was held from April 4 to 15. Candidates can check JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 and 2 on this page.  JEE Main 2024 application form session 1 was available from November 1 to December 4. For session 2, NTA released application form on February 2.

The total fee of BTech ranges between INR 4.50 lakh-INR 6.39 lakh.

If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.

Lateral entry BTech admissions at GGSIPU are done on the basis of merit in IPU CET.

Kanpur Institute of Technology and Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology both are renowned universities for B.E. / B.Tech. However, in terms of affordability, Kanpur Institute of Technology is a better option since the total tuition fee for Kanpur Institute of Technology is INR 165,000 - INR 220,000 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is INR 244,800. In the total fees that students generally end up paying the university or the college, various other components are also included, such as the exam fee, application fee, lab and other charges.

Candidates who are Class 12 pass with at least 60% aggregate in PCM can apply for ASET Noida BTech admission under non sponsored category. The minimum aggregate for sponsored category is 55%. Candidates aggregate is calculated as per marks scored in English and three academic subjects.

Deciding between Sharda and Galgotias for B.Tech depends on your priorities:

Sharda:

Strong placements, especially in CSE: Average rates above 80%, with top packages in IT.

Good mix of core and new-age engineering:Offers both traditional branches and emerging fields like data science.

Lower fees compared to Galgotias.

Galgotias:

Slightly higher average placement rates:Often exceeding 85%, with strong core engineering placements.

Bigger campus and better infrastructure.

Higher fees than Sharda.

Aspirants must complete Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies with at least 50% aggregate to apply for BTech at SRM University Sonepat.

The FET MRIIRS BTech eligibility criteria vary depending on the course. Mentioned below is the course-wise eligibility criteria fetched from the official website of the institute:

• Civil Engineering/Computer Science: Pass in the Class 12 examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects and eligibility shall be determined based on aggregate marks in
  - Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & English and
  - One subject with the highest score out of the remaining subjects
• Civil Engineering (LE)/Biotechnology (LE): 45% marks in a three-year Diploma in Engineering in any branch/discipline from the State Board of Technical Education or Equivalent Examination or BSc from a recognised University as defined by UGC, with at least 50% marks and passed Class 12 with Mathematics as a subject
• Biotechnology: Pass in the Class 12 examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects and eligibility shall be determined based on the percentage of aggregate marks in
  - English, Physics, Chemistry
  - One subject out of Biology, Computer Science, Biotechnology or Mathematics
  and
  - One subject with the highest score out of the remaining subjects

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electrical Engineering was 422516 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cutoffs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to Greater Noida Institute of Technology.
