Plan DU JAT preparation wisely: Given that aspirants have only one month to prepare, it is important that they make a preparation plan after assessing their strengths and weaknesses. It is important to filter out important topics by going through the last few years' question papers. Attempting Quants and Reasoning and Analytical Ability questions would be relatively easier for you as Mathematics is one of your subjects in class 12. Devote more time to General Awareness. Make a list of all the important events in the last six months. Keep a tab on important brands, their logos and taglines, arts & music, awards and honours, business developments, economy, books and authors among others.  For General English, you need to have a good grasp of vocabulary, grammar and RC passages.

Reach out to your peers and guides who can help you find solutions to tough problems.

Build on your strength: In the last month of DU JAT preparation, you need to persistently work on your strong areas. For Quant and Reasoning & Analytical Ability make a list of shortcuts and tricks to solve questions with maximum accuracy. For the English section, a general understanding of the language would come in handy. If you are in a habit of reading newspapers or novels, it will be easier for you to sail through this section. Depending upon your strengths, you can either start with Reading Comprehension or grammar which includes, subject-verb agreement, tense, modifiers and error detection.

Practice Mocks: Start practising mock tests from day one of your DU JAT preparation periods. Always adhere to the time limit while solving mocks and previous year DU JAT question papers. It will give you an idea of your strong and weak areas. It will also help you devise a section-wise strategy for the exam. It is advisable that candidates practice at least a dozen mock tests before taking the exam.

Revision: You need to set aside at least an hour for revising the key topics you have already covered. The proper revision will ensure that you approach your questions with measured confidence. Take out time for revising important formulas and shortcut tricks related to Quants and Reasoning. Also, make it a habit to jot down all the topics you have revised and takeaways from each session.

Last but not the least, it is important for an aspirant to set practical targets and maintain consistency. If you are lagging in certain topics you should not let it affect the rest of your preparation. Keep taking a healthy break from studies to maintain focus.
