CBSE 12th Syllabus 2021-22: The Central Board of Secondary Education decided to conduct CBSE Board Exams 2022 in two terms from the current academic session, i.e. 2021-22. CBSE Term-1 board exams 2021 were conducted in the month of November and December. While CBSE Term-2 exams dates for Class 10, 12 are yet to be released, it is likely that the term-2 exams for Class 12 will be conducted in the month of April and May. Earlier, amid the ferocious waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, the education ministry announced its decision to reduce the CBSE syllabus for CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th including Class 9 and Class 11 by 30% for the academic session 2020-21. The decision was taken considering the academic loss faced by students. The reduction in the CBSE syllabus of Classes 9 to 12 was done with the suggestions from NCERT. However, the reduced syllabus was only effective for the current 2020-21 session.

For the current academic session 2021-22, the deleted portions of Class 9, 10, 11 and 12 syllabus have been restored by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). An updated curriculum for students of class 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th for the 2021-22 sessions has also been released by CBSE. It is likely, the CBSE has made some reductions and changes in the syllabus of the current year as well. Students may visit the official website of CBSE, i.e. cbseacademic.nic.in as the board has uploaded the curriculum and syllabus for students between Class 9 and 12.

The official notice regarding CBSE Syllabus 2021 reads, "The Board annually provides curriculum for classes IX to XII for a given academic year containing academic content, syllabus for examinations with learning outcomes, pedagogical practices, and assessment guidelines. 2. CBSE has advised schools to adopt learning outcomes prescribed by NCERT annexed with the curriculum of each subject for classes IX-X to implement Competency Based Questions. The learning outcomes are long-term outcomes of a school system that are expected to accomplish through the entire educational process. 3. The Board has also provided Teachers Energized Resources which delineate learning outcomes by restating them into more precise and measurable learning objectives teachers need to use in their routine teaching in classrooms. Teachers are required to write down their own learning objectives in line with learning outcomes of NCERT to meet the requirement of their unique class."
